Hi all,
My mates have been playing this for a bit, they've recently told me about it and I couldn't resist as I loved FO2. My mates have their own characters, I think I'm pretty right to roll whatever I want.
Anyways, I usually play a sniper/sneak/steal type build. Is this viable?
I'm hoping for a step by step guide, or a link to one, so that I can follow it closely from start to finish. It will need to include SPECIAL, perks to take etc.

You can get a lot of help in TheLastLight, group of helping hands. Its not faction just individuals helping newcomers to learn about fonline mechanics. Feel free to ask for help there.

@build: in this game its not very good to make hybrids, but also hybrids are viable for certian purposes. For sure you should have high steal on another alt , not the same. Becouse thiefs are used to gather few very frequently used goods. Stealth is used in combination with some high DPS weapons, becouse you will most likely become unsneaked when you start shooting.
Sniper builds are used to reveal sneakers from greater distance and supporting BG figthers, they are more like cripplers with long range.

make a SG burster, best for new players

Use Grease Guns or FN FAL, plus lifegivers to get yourself up to at least 180 HP. Right now sniper is garbage due to buffed npcs, you want either burst for Real Time or Fast Shot/High AP for Turn-based.
