Ok, sorry if I will break the unspoken yet expected rule among MMO forums, but I will make the thread with a question.
I've tried FO2238 few years back, and since I was busy in another game, I didn't have time to dedicate myself to the lovely yet harsh realities of this game.
Now, coming back, and wishing to give it another chance, I'm having hell of a time installing the game. I have original F2 installed, I download the client and.... The Updater.exe stays at initializing, before and after I run FOConfig.exe + FO2338Config.exe, and after.
Ok, maybe the client and the game is up to date? (Actual question, but I doubt it to be true)
After that, I tried to simply run the game, where I get the initial login window with all boxes marked as Error.
Could any wise fellow lead me out of this vicious cycle?

Ok, apparently using the pre-configured client solved the installation issues.
