In their current form they are just too weak against pretty much anything that isn't a giant rat.

Or, at least make them affected by Fast shot and BROF.

Well Frags and Plasmas would probably take the same time to throw, so either make frags cost an AP less, or make plasmas cost one more :) :) :)

Actually, no, it isn't.
In PvE they arn't that bad already, and if its PvP you want, theres always a better choice.

I could never understand why frag grenades, being powerful in every other game out there as well as IRL , are basicly useless in fonline.
In PvE they arn't that bad already, and if its PvP you want, theres always a better choice.
Yea not that "bad already". Against cents/floats they deal like ~30 damage, I wonder how much damage they deal vs even tougher critters and geared players/npcs. The knockback perk doesn't really make up for its terribad low DPS.
Would be nice if it could be considerably buffed damage wise and had the same AP requirements as plasma grenade. After all its an explosion and most armors mitigate Explosion damage well enough.
A waste in its current state if you consider the cool death animations !

I also agree if DR/DT foils the damage completely and you can't cripple significantly, what's the use?

Frags are super cheap, if you want to make some noise, use plasmas. Tho different APs requirement is nonsense.

Then make them more expansive and more powerful. We already have junky molotovs and dynamite sticks, no need for another yet craftable "cheap" useless weapon.
I want a lil hand atom bomb with cool death animation.

Also reduce Frag Grenade and Molotov AP use by -1 to meet Plasma Nades, or increase Plasma Nade AP use by +1.

Oh come on, you can't be serious. Following the logic of
"Why have two good throwable grenades if you can have a good one and a shitty one"
Seriously, the one AP more would be alright if they dealt the same damage like plasma.
Like this it's just unjustified, how often do we see frag grenades in action ? Plasma however is used to the left and to the right. Even if frag grenades had the same damage as plasma it wouldn't hurt much, since most armors have great stats against explosions anyway, expecially the commonly used efficient armor to date which is MKII CA.
Give it at least a try , after all we get implementations over and over but no really interesting additions to the weapon arsenal or fighting styles. I rather observe the contrary, less and less weapons are useable in PVP or anywhere. Whats with the extreme LSW nerf ? A flamer does more damage atm. Rocket launcher that deals like no damage ?
Might be true about those rumors over the last seasons that those weapons were kinda OP, but at least you saw some more weapon diversion, nowadays I see only avengers and gattlings and occasionally some EW/SG sniper.

Frags either need to be 1 less ap, higher damage or better at scoring crits IMO
