Title: EVERYTHING MUST GO!!

OK so the motherboard on my laptop completely fried, and I can't run FOnline on my netbook thanks to the shitness of the Intel GMA 3600 graphics card...so...I have decided to give away my meagre FOnline empire to someone who may get some enjoyment out of it seeing as I am not able to.

The things I am giving away (non exhaustive list):

Character 'STYX' (Level 18 EW 6 shot fastshooter) - Just needs the finishing touches to be an excellent farmer...the one I was leveling back in May before my PC died.

Character: 'XION' (Level 24 SG burster) as 'Reilly's Rangers' faction leader with Outpost Base near New Reno and safehouse nearby.
Gauss Pistol and ammo unused
Gatling Laser
Many farmed FN Fal/Grease Gun - Few farmed Laser rifles

Lockpicker 'Cobb' (Level 18 or so) with about 250-270 lockpicking...can't remember exactly. Tent near excellent BP hunting area.
Highwayman with key parked at tent
Few BP's, plasma pistol, fn fal, super stim, H&K CAWS, super sledge...few more can't remember.

Crafter 'BAGG' with high carryweight and most useful professions. Repair and science 150. Melee fighter. Access to all other tents and base etc.

Probably about 15k-20k caps altogether spread out over the accs and probably much more stuff I can't remember.

As you can see, it's not a lot, but it's a shame for it to be just sitting there doing nothing.

So...I want to give it all to one deserving person (to avoid complications with passwords and base entry etc) so to get the loot all you need to do is tell me why I should give it to you.

No man! Don't quit! Find a way to log in enough to keep your accounts active and then come back as soon as you get the technical problems fixed.

I'd love to, I've tried everything...I tried using Wine under Ubuntu, XP with updated drivers. Logging in on my netbook is a joke, missing tiles and flickering screen...even on the menu!

The GMA 3600 is really crap, it doesn't support 3D, tried updating .net framework, directx etc but it's not happening. Haven't actually played since May.

I second the motion to give it to sHoW. I met him few times in game and he seems like a good guy. Also edits the wiki now.

You can always safe some money and buy a decent used PC that can run this game.
If you're going to give someone your stuff then i suggest you give it to noobs who really need it, not people like stalker or sHoW who can get stuff by them selfs already.

According to that picture, the problem isn't your GMA 3600 GC. I suggest you to try fixing it instead of giving your stuff away to people on the forums.

i have same gpu. i am playing on notebook samsung r540 with shitty intel gma hd. it runs in 30fps most of the time but nothing can run in background or laptop overheats and shuts down. try this config, just change your resolution:

Did you try runing fonline with opengl? Your gpu supports opengl 3.0 so it's worth a shot.

OK, I think you underestimate the shitness of this GC. Using the settings Raccoon posted I get this:

Yeah... plus with OpenGL I get white screen and the client closes.

i got same graphic problems when i set up texture size at too high value.

are you using latest graphic driver? try many configurations and see the results, keep changing values and follow positive changes, if you're operating on windows 7 try compatibility modes. personally i dont have anything checked in compatibility window. using windows 7 home premium.

I appreciate your interest but even finding drivers for this card under XP was a nightmare. This card isn't officially supported under XP and is well know to cause problems and is very limited due to restrictions imposed by intel. Some may say (and have done so in this thread) that I should go buy a new PC etc...but for what I use it for this tiny netbook is perfect, plus we have a desktop that is used for work purposes etc.

Without 2 FOnline capable PC's in the house for myself and my wife to play together there is little point me playing. I'm sorry to have to give up FOnline but what else can I do....?

If given to me, I will insure that the loot will be evenly distributed among all new wastelanders that I encounter in my travels. I'm aware that this may or may not be in the same line of interests you may have, however that is what will happen if given to me.  The assets (bases, vehicles) will be used by me and my friends, and the items themselves (weapons, armors) will be used to help equip the new generation of wastelanders.

Hope you do fix your computer and come back to the wasteland sometime.

If you end up having to buy a new laptop I can recommend the 3rd gen i series, the hd4000 integrated is pretty damn good and with an i5 laptop you can generally run most modern games on low-medium settings (AMD IMO has better graphics for laptops but sadly their processors are lacking)

I would enjoy your items/characters since I took a break and sadly my storage tents are gone  :'(

if you're buying laptop for games, NEVER, EVER buy integrated graphics. try to find something running on nvidia or radeon. basic radeon/geforce beats intel hd graphics easily.

Have you actually run the hd4000 graphics? I have, and played skyrim, deus ex HR, MW on it without issues, the problem with something running nvidia/radeon is the 150-200$ added just for that

Problem is in eventual malfunction, not in performance. If youre using a laptop for playing games, demands on graphics card are often enormous; if your integrated GPU dies you may as well toss your laptop in a garbage can. I burned graphics card on my laptop, luckily it wasnt integrated so the repair quite painless and very cheap.

no, i didnt but i went through so many ingtegrated gpu's that i have enough of them for rest of my life.

I could acquire some testimonials from people who I have helped in their earlier years of FOnline if required. You could also search "The Lost Children", a faction I ran dedicated to donating and instructing new wastelanders on their first steps in the sand.

My dedication to bringing in and training new wastelanders does not end within the game either, I've written numerous threads on multiple gaming websites to try and boost the population of this game, which I can source if need be.

Oh, so the tormented soul, who turned from White Knight to PK and our beloved forum #2 drama queen next to gr1m, is finally back as an alleged newbie-helper again ! The one who once set out into the wasteland to bring his hateful wrath upon others, thirsting for revenge because of his shattered wet APK-newbie-helping-dreams, armed with nothing then his trusty combat shotguns, dogs and pure hateful sorrow.

So, now that you're back and most likely get a shitton of stuff for free, I want to ask you a question.
