Title: Magical Golden Gecko...

So what I assume was a hack led to a magical golden gecko wandering around NCR, it "bit me" causing my text to change to russian symbols or other various alt-unicode symbols. Needless to say I punched the gecko, died, lost what I had and now constantly die attempting to leave the respawn area that is far to far away from civilization (oh and I still can't use english characters).

Kinda pissed I have to say...

While I'm sure that its fucking hilarious, I'm not very happy about the situation...
Obviously logging out and back in fixed it but spending more than 10 seconds unable to say "Fuck you" to the bastard was unbearable.

It's amazing how people apply causation. You happened to press Shift + Ctrl, if this happens again, press Shift + Ctrl again. And the gecko is just some player in a skin, it did nothing wrong.

"Golden Gecko" pushed you, you got scared and pressed shift + ctrl, then you got angry and punched the player with gecko skin and guards killed you.

Well ehm.. actually Thats not a golden gecko. That would be a fire gecko bro.

i guess he was pushing you with "PUSH" icon. just hold a cursor on other player and release it on icon of hand and an arrow. And i guess you PUNCHED him which is considered as attack.

this golden gecko is a player who begged out golden gecko skin from gamemaster.

No I purposely punched him. The getting attacked and dying was expected, though the not being able to get anywhere wasn't.

Also, as far as being afraid of the Gecko, not so much. I don't think I pressed ctrl-shift, as I simply attempted to type that said gecko was an asshole, though the characters came out in Russian text. If I happened to have pressed it then shame on me, but still, fucking Gecko.

How can you be so sure that he really didn't die to a Golden Gecko? ;D

The guy was most probably trying to walk slowly around the Gecko by using Shift hoping it won't notice him, when it came close he tried to dodge it hits by crouching pressing Ctrl because that is how it happens in modern day shooters, the rest you can think of yourself. ;D
