Title: capturable hot points
Post by: Cart on November 29, 2012, 07:16:47 am
Hey,

I was thinking about the idea of adding certain capturable hot points to the game, which work somewhat like the town capture, however, give the players/guilds certain benefits for control. For example, in New Reno, you could capture a casino, and become the owner of the casino earning all proceeds as well as a standard amount of money each 12 hours. Another idea is the stables, which if captures, yields a bounty of jet produced every 12 hours or so for the owner. Or in redding/broken hills you coould capture a mine, earning a bounty of resurces. In any of the cities you could become the owner of a bar. You could own the chop shop, giving you a small amount of money each day as well as free car fuel. you could make it so that some of these locations have to be captures, and some canbe bought.

Just an idea, but I think this would be cool as it would increase both the rp value of the game (becoming a mine or casino or drug lab manager) as well as teh pvp value (with guilds battling eachother for control of locations).

for PVP we need bigger areas not lesser, so it might be good only for RP

This isn't so bad idea. Basically all activity in unsafe zones should be rewarded.

Basically all activity in unsafe zones should be rewarded.

it should, but it's highly unlikely it's gonna happen.

I'd be interesting to have "influence" as a kind of minor town control for single players. You can either go the evil route of threat / extortion, or the good route of investment or repeatable quests.
