Question: When I player older games (I am 15) that have multi-player function, when I tell other players my age they 90% of the time become hostile. I've had so many damn slur's thrown at me I just had to make a list...
"Mommy know your playing this kid?"
"gtfo of my game kid"
"go back to play cod blackcocks niqqer"
"fuking kids in my game?"
"time for a lesson in reality kid"
"lets show this fuck what realities like"
... and the strange thing is that most of these people are in there 20's - 30's and they seem to REALLY want to teach me a lesson in reality. Strangely I've never had someone shoot me with a assault rifle or stab me with a sword for telling them I was only 15. Now I was hoping to get an answer as to why the heck do people get so hostile when I tell them this? a third of these people were on totally friendly terms with me when I told them and they still got pissed. Any idea's on why they get so damn angry? I'm not here to rage but I'd really just like to know why?

To call these asshole's adults is an insult to REAL ADULTS. I mean if it was real life and they were actually trying to teach me something I'd be fine with it. But I play video games for fun, not to have to listen to some dude rant for 15 minutes about whats wrong with kids these days and how Facebook has destroyed social interaction (I seriously don't have a Facebook account)

Adults haven't always grown up, sometimes they just take their adolescent bullshit to a different venue.
We call those people "assholes", and it sounds like you met a few.
The internet is a giant retardation amplifier as well, so there's that to consider.

1. Get older.
2. Say that you are 12 years old.
3. If an "adult" says he would like to punch your face, agree and meet with him in real life.
4. When he sees that you actually aren't 12 year old but in fact someone manly, make him suffer.
5. "Adult" person gets his lesson.
Nah, just kidding but I totally feel you. I somehow look at younger gamers without much hope, but hey, I give them a chance. I had this kid in a clan of one game I was playing. We mostly were like 16-24 years old but there was one this guy that was only 13. At first I was like "Wtf is this kid doing in this game? Like, it requires teamwork, kids don't do that in games". Soon enough I realized that he is actually a cool guy, he played nicely, didn't rage like some kids and aside from the annoying voice that all kids have over the microphone, I actually enjoyed playing with him. It's better that you just ignore these guys that think they are so elite, that they are mature enough to play video games. It's not the age what matters, it's the person.

Just the way of the world. I guess these younger kids are pampered too much they have all this anti-bullying initives, taught to be tolerent, all this new age parenting where parents are more so friends than an authoritive figure in the house hold.
Look people are more brave to saying mean things over the internet because there is no conquences that what you say may make somebody snap and start a fight. Its pretty easy to hide behind a computer miles away to say something you may or may not say to somebody who is 2 feet away from you.
I mean its really a hard question to answer its just the way the world is, maybe people forget we get away from our true beings of behing hunter and gathers, the world was a much more vicious place where you could be eaten alive by vicious animals. And this is maybe where anger and being vicious was something needed to survive. The world is not as friendly as it seems, people are not all that trusting as they appear. It just comes with wisdom that there are good kind people and there are mean spirited who are out to harm peoples feelings or inflict violence. I mean just look at nature there are animals who just sit around eat plants mind their own business then there are carnivores which are vicious mean and are out to kill to eat and survive.
You know when I was 13 first time ever on the internet to play my first multiplayer game back when everything was just dial up, people treated me the same way called me a dumb kid wrote nasty things talked about adult oriented stuff. All you can really do is ignore these type of people or try to harden up deal with it and fight back but this well usually get you into trouble in a lot of situations.
As for adults they are probably stressed out from work worring about finances, have kids to worry about or have issues of their own from their childhood, or other problems they are dealing with. With age comes wisdom and there is nothing more irritating to an adult than a kid trying to tell them the way it is.
Its wishful thinking and naive to expect the world to be a peaceful disneyland fairytale it would be nice if it was, but don't forget there is 2 sides to every coin, for every good there must be bad its all in the balance of life.

You know what stupid shit I get on the internet? When I was 15 I woke up one morning with the news of an airline accident which crashed into some tower in New York. Which was later pronounced a terrorist attack and they call this day 911. Then afterthat every stupid fucker on the internet has to open his big stupid fucking mouth think its funny to say something about americans dying, has some stupid joke or fucking 2 hours of conspiracy theory talk. I had to put up with stupid people telling me americans deserved to die in 911, americans deserve to die, you are an american you are fat and stupid haha 911. And this was none stop for me when I was on the internet in chat rooms or just playing a friendly game of counter strike after I was done doing homework. And since this fucking day I had the hope and dreams going to college to make it up in the world then year after year there is less and less jobs, I can't find a fucking job, I have no fucking money and I play this stupid shit game with stupid fucks from all across the world who think they are just so fucking funny with their dumbfuck trolling remarks. So your family is not alone in this alot of people are going through same thing can't afford the $200 console, I sure as hell can't and I'm in my 20's.
At same time show no signs of weakness, you let somebody know something bothers you they well keep pushing your buttons, they will keep repeating the same remark because they know it makes you mad, and they get the sick pleasure and think its funny. You just can't let trolling bother you, you have to let it go and ignore it. You have to have thick skin, next time somebody says some stupid thing about you being young you tell them to get a life you loser, or take sarakins advice and don't tell anybody your age or lie.

I can't tell you why older gamers hate kids, manly because I'm 19, I however, can tell you why I hate kids in real life.
They fuck everything, the reason we can't have nice things almost always leads to kids, of course they're passive aggressors most of the time.
Wanna take off your shirt in an open air restaurant because it's hot? You can't, it's a family restaurant.
Wanna tell dirty jokes with the guys at your table? You can't, the guy on the table next to you had the idea to bring his stupid kids to a bar.
Wanna smoke? You can't, kids.
Wanna say what you actually think to your family during christmas' eve? You can't, your younger cousins are there.
Wanna get laid on christmas? You can't, your whatever year old nephews whom you never seen will be at the tonight's family reunion so for some reason it would be bad if you didn't go to the reunion just because your nephews.
Wanna hear the ending of a really nasty story? You can't, kid walking towards your table.
You wanna play a nice mature (not pornographic, MATURE) game with no general bs you see on certain games? You can't, too many teens and kids nowadays burning their mom's credit card on games to make a truly mature game.
You wanna 'hit that" but all she can do is go "baaawww!" on some baby nearby.
You wanna have fun with the part of your family you like but there's always that mother that always needs something for her baby, and it's usually silly stuff like mashed peas or she'll choke and not have a singing voice or whatever.
I'm not saying we should stop having kids, what I'm trying to say is that children are way too much blended into human society in general, they need to build a huge school life-tutorial thing that you can't leave until you're 18 or something.
Ever since I turned 18 I've been ashamed of ever being a kid, I'm probably more ashamed of being a kid in the past than anything I did and probably will do.
I hope that helped your question, those are the best examples I can think of on why kids annoy people over 18.
TL;DR: Kids blend in with adults too much, like that lame kid in school you didn't want to talk to but he always tried to talk to you and your group.

i have explantion of older players behviour:
If you tell them how young you are they suddenly realize they are stucked in game for teenagers and they cant get out of they addiction, they become angry and they release they anger to closest person. Please be forgiving to them. They need love. xD
