No one likes levelling. It's a boring endless grind because fonline demands that you endlessly create alts to service her every need. 10 x XP till release, please. I'm sick of killing centaurs and I think everyone else is too. There's nothing compelling about completing the same actions hundreds of times, there is approximatly 0 fun. Have mercy.
-
I guess it would be fine yeah.
Problem is FR, people would go crazy on waves, 8 waves is fine and fun action but more than that takes too long, could turn TC into Hinkley.
Have mercy.
I lol'd.
-
agreed. lvling is only fun for newbies. once you have lvled 10 alts you just get sick of lvling and its just wasteing your personal time for no fun.
-
yees, I agreee, I'm so sick of killing stuff to lvl my alts

"also powar armor coz we can test game betta!!? :):):)"
We test game.
Game is wasteland.
Wasteland is harsh.

You clearly have no idea how games are tested then :-*

+1, tests which are really relevant in a MMO (and in videogames in general) are those which permit to go to the limits of what players can do, like giving them the best stuff for balancing it, doing stress-tests like when GMs organize events with A LOT of PCs and NPCs, all that kind of stuff. Lower possibilities and force players to play with only a few long-term interesting features is exactly the opposite of an useful test.

If you're bored with grind all these new alts, why do you do it? ::)
Seriously. Wouldn't a reassigning of attributes be more practical solution for testing? You spend time in leveling a single char, you convert your time in XP. Once a month, you are allowed to fill out a request to reset your char. You use the "online" function to submit your name and XP to a GM, delete your char and let him dig some ultrashits with your new character to gain XP.
Or. You have "~reincarnate" command. Your XP gets recorded, after deleting your char, you can reregister and instead of appearing in standard starting location, you pop out in Holy Brahmin Temple, where you dig the crap of your reincarnation.

+1 to this suggestion. it's boring, time-consuming and useless.

You need alts for everything.
I need an alt for the best possible way to aquire a certain item, for example, I could farm VC patrols with a PVE farmer to get 5mm AP from their AR ladies, but then I would have to farm for hours or even days to get a decent amount.
Meanwhile I can level up a thief, have some boring levelling but be able to get my own 5mm without much problems later.
This goes for every single farmable item in this game.
And when it comes to PVP you don't want to leave early, you want to be there when everyone is looting the dead.

Both are GREAT ideas, 10X xp.
and stat reassign etc, obviously at some kind of cost.

Because we test how different builds work. There's dozens of ways to make for example a sneak.
I'd support xp reassignment, but one month cooldown is too big.

ammmm the fuck am i reading
this game will aways be developed
-
FR needs to be banned first or we will get 100 waves in TC/Reno
-
changes should be made in order and with all seriousnes, making XP gain X10 is not reasonable, btw do you think leveling isnt part of game to be tested?, if you think you need alt for every game feature, you are wrong, there is at least 100 active players to test all features.
-
I think testing is also about "how does the game go over a particular timespan" and not only trying out dozens of builds. So we need a real scenario.
10x XP would be good if there was an extra server that has this option. But I guess nobody would play on the "normal" server anymore, so it should be like a PvP-Testserver with no TC, but TC-like PvP maps and only one active character that can only be "respeced" like horatio mentioned.
Imagine the fast relog shitstorm if everybody could have unlimited maxlevel alts in an instant/so little effort...
-
Everyone doing TC misses the point anyways, they are so obsessed with "dominating" a half broken game that no one plays that they fight changes in the forum and use exploits instead of reporting them.
-
I don't know another game where you can be lvl max in less time.
2h for SG, 1h30 for BG, 45min for energy (Hth and throwing idk, i don t test it)
Centaurs & cie seem like a gift of devs.

lol when you report a bug or exploit it takes devs 2 years to fix so what is the point in reporting it?
Just a waste of time making a nice report for devs.
-
Why don't you just not play the game and tell everyone you beat it? Same sense of accomplishment. This has got to be the all time worst suggestion ever made. Just start everyone with unlimited stats, caps, bases, cars, gear in God mode? Really I don't even know why you'd want to "play"? I know I wouldn't.
You know when playing "Monopoly", its just such a timesink to go around the board collecting $200 and buying property, why not just start with all property and be the banker, enjoy....
-
When it takes time to level to 24 you are less likely to test all possible perks and build types since a single mistake makes your build useless. In real game testing players do have god mode and access to testing features. Why do you think console cheats exist on pc? We aren't testing fonline we are playing a work in progress. As for devs taking two years to fix things I can't speak for their priorities but they seem to either ignore pretty vital things for long periods of time. 4 years later advanced mats aren't in game and TB ai still sucks. Properly organized they could advance this game more in a month than it has since they started this project but the playerbase is childish and immature and the devs are focused on all the wrong things. The whole lvling in an hour is total bullshit. I oneshot cents with greasers and even taking out restocking ammo and guns that's at least 5 hours of grinding. Maybe if you have a full party and plasma nades but its not doable solo which is how everyone but a few play.
-
False.
I can give you the tips but it's 30.000caps ;D
-
Strongly dissagree, wasteland is harsh, as boon said.
If you are too lazy to grind characters up (easy) then dont, and stick to the ones you currently own.
-
3 years and hundreds of builds, I'm not "lazy" I'm bored. Maybe your feeble intellect finds comfort in mindless repetion but I do not.

+1 to Roacher
If we want to balance game and PvP quickly then time for creating builds should be reduced.
I would go as far as having something like FCP / character editor available in the game (maybe when you create character you can just click add level exp and pick what you want, similar to FO Tactics multiplayer character creation experience). This functionality can be turned ON when server is under PvP balance testing etc.
