i played fallout 2 and i got used to the turn based combat, now as i begin to play the online version i get clobbered all directions not knowing what the hell is going on. can i set the combat to be as turn based as it was in singleplayer? or is there anything specific about the online play?
edit: and another thing....why does everyone hate me so much? i cant talk to ANYONE without being called an ugly retard and shooed off and i didnt even do anything, is there a particular reason for this or is it supposed to be this way? very few people want to talk to me.

open the folder fonline is in and look for the 2 config files. open then and set to turnbased and set other things.
you can also use the command ~combatmode tb and go log in screen and log back in, it will be tb then also.
people hate you so much and wont trade because you have low charisma, you need atleast 3 ch to trade and to talk to npcs.

You can have turn based mode only in random encounters and in quest locations.
The setting of the player who creates the map (first player in encounter or player who took quest) decides.
In all other locations (towns, tents, bases) it's always real time.
