Make brahmins in brahmin pen on the base breed baby cows. May be every game day with some chance? And only if 2+ brahmins are in the pen.

"NPC run" brahmin pens would become full of brahmin without the need of players taming brahming and selling them to herdsmen. With the current system rotates: some players buy brahmin from NPCs and then other players sell brahmins to NPCs. More player participation means better system, imho.

This really happens? Someone is buying brahmins from trader? Well i suppose there is always someone doing something.
Anyway, this was meant for brahmin pens in faction bases.

Allow 5 brahmin max in pen for outpost, take 2 to slaughter leaving 3 in pen. These could then produce brahmin babies to refill pen to 5.
The slaughtered brahmin could give meat which could be used as food for companions.

Sure, then we will need to clean the cows themselves, make special food at advanced workbench and craft watering system for cows to drink from, then those cows could get sick from time to time and we could implement heart pills in game to cure them and ... and cows could mutate with time and become intelligent that way start to talk and ultimately becoming companions witch can wield Gatling!!! Then cows could evolve special powers, it would be pokemons all over, wouldn't it be cool? Imagine kids arguing in school of witch cow is better, random kid 1: "my cow can become insivible, it's teh best!", random kid 2: "nahaa, my shoots lazors from eyes!"

It is still true that if features like those mentioned by T-888 were implemented, many "hardcore PvP powergamers" would still play the game and look for the most efficient metagaming way to do get those activities done while complaining about how much the game has been ruined (again). Those who wouldn't play, would get some more Speech % with posting in dramathreads about how much those features turned the game into something not worth caring about.

You mean like the FNV's hardcore mode?

More like addiction with withdrawal effects. Cant have full stats while hungry. Cows must be fed, too. I think PvP guys complain about all the micromanagement they will be forced into.
But if i want to play farmer, and needs cows, i will enjoy the micromanagement. The trick is to make it optional.
