My idea is to make robes (sand colored and purple) craftable. The look pretty stylish, and also have decent resistance's to most weapon types. Robes are decent for noobs and veterans alike. Why not make them craftable? Maybe for brown robes, 1 fiber and 1 brahmin hide, and purple robes 1 fiber and 2 fire geckos hides, just as an example. Everyone please let me know your opinions on this.

Basic robes, ok.
Purple robes could have a purchasable BP (from Necro Hall or Church in Hub), and add a Chemical Component requirement.

I don't see why not. They're not unique items or something.
+1 for the idea.

Would be nice if after the profession armorer lvl1, you could choose to be an armorer lvl2 or a dress crafter.

robes should be in default fixboy list

Agreed. Also, brahmin hides? gecko pelts? I don't think robes got any leather and/or scaled parts. I think that just 3 or 4 fibers for a regular sandcolored robe, and a sandcolored robe + chemical components for a purple robe would be ok.

Sand: 6 Fibers + Broc Flower
Purple: 10 Fibers + Flower/+/xanderoot
I like this idea.
Holly people/hermits do wear sand colored robes (or similar ones, those would be cool too), but do not drop them, that could be another source of them.

Yes please do this, no more running to broken hills to buy more robes.
