Once a similar egg found me! After death I appeared at Boneyard respawn point right next to a white egg that was keeping me in minus hp for 15 minutes (I don't think there was any suicide command implemented in those times). I couldn't do anything so yea since then I really love these "mini-roleplays"  :-\

The egg is from Jovanka's Easter event (http://fodev.net/forum/index.php/topic,23124.msg191983.html#msg191983). This particular egg is at the moment in NCR bazaar because, as Jovanka explained to us, it was in one of the guards' inventory. It is unreachable and therefore unpickable, but entirely safe.

By the way, we should thank Jovanka for leaving the Egg lying there and Voland for helping us making the Egg "speak". :D
