Title: Doctor skill cure radiation

What about a feature to make doctor builds and roleplayers more usefull with the ability to cure radiation. My idea is to have craftable doctor bags and these can be used with a high doctor skill to cure radiation. Makes for good roleplay, a good feature to cure our characters of radiation without spending ton of caps on radaway and doctors. Also would be fun and more useful to make a build with doctor tagged. Doctor builds aren't OP in anyway in PvP so why not have the ability to cure radiation with doctor skill and doctor bag? It would also be good for PvE co-op in glow.

I highly support this idea, would make a better use of these NCR doctors, who are camping there all day long trying to help people. Curing radiation could also give some good exp.

Most players would just level a doctor char, who would dual log to make tent with the levellee and fastrelog to the doctor when the levelee took too much rads.

Nothing wrong with the idea, it would just make rad-meds pointless which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Levelling would be faster and easier and there'd be time to farm something else instead of radmeds.

The effect should not be huge, so rad-meds will not be pointless. You should not be able to survive in glow by just DOCing yourself. Not without max-rad-resist build and using rad-x. And even then not for ever.

hmm, if you get radiated i would like to sell you my radaways :). normal price is 150 caps, if you buy more maybe i can discount for you. :)

btw i crafted 500 radaways at once, i think its enough for whole season. It was pretty easy to get this amount by crafting before cooldown was added. (iam selling also chemical compounds) :)

Less radiated you are, less you pay... If you pay 1100, you're bit more than half way to maximum dose before death :|

which is total bullshit, shouldn't cost enough to force me to do slave runs on an alt. Should be 500 caps max.

why not make everyone level 24 to begin with.  That would make it the carebear way you dolts want it without any effort or risk.  Why even play, just say you did!   



(on a side note why the fuck do i need mod approval, as when i said the GOD pvp char build sucked i got kicked in the nutz but everybody elses "your god pvp build is shit" still have their posts up, whatever forum nazis.... your partially to blame for buttfucking this game over to and you know it.)

maximum radiation level is 2000, which make you melt. So maximum price for cure radiation is 2000 too, i guess, every Radaway makes you loose 150 radiation level (25+50+75). Iam selling it for 150 caps, which is same as doctors price.

Now i suggest you to buy more then 50 from me to get dicount :) i cant sell it for 1/4 asi you would like, but i can make it maybe 3/4(112) or 2/3(100) for you.

And iam only one here who offer better solutions ;)

Oh but if you don't play the game the way he doesn't like you to play you get black listed from trading. But that is another issue, please use the trade section if you are selling rad away thank you.

I think the chance for success should require a really high doctor skill, and yes there should be balance so teh abuz3rz don't abuse. Or maybe something like 300% doctor skill requirement for a support perk to cure radiation. I mean what harm is there if somebody can walk around curing radation with a doctor build? You don't get radiated in PvP so why would it be such an abuse if somebody leveled a character with curing radiation?  At some point 100 exp for a good first aid for example, slows down and becomes more time consuming than if you went out and blasted a few centaurs.

I think its effects should be like a rad-away with 300 DOC. And scale down with skill.

I find 100-120 is good enough if you are trying to heal cripple limb in PvP or real time fight but it doesn't cure weakness at this point.

I mean they made lockpickers more useful to get 300% than to steal cars and troll lockers with locks. I mean why not have the ability to have use of making a character with high doctor skill?

If somebody doesn't want to level a doctor there is the option to use radaway or pay a NPC doctor, but if somebody levels a doctor then the reward is to cure radiation for free. I agree with roacher 1,000 caps is a lot of caps, 2 radaway costs about the same as well and works over time.

Ok so I think this, if there is a doctor to cure radiation character we can make what is the point of radawy? I think that radaway should still be useful for glow, or doctor curing radiation shouldn't be as effective in glow as opposed to radaway. Or my idea for a decent balance would be a doctor being able to cure radiation as if it were like taking 1 radaway every lets say 2 minutes with a high skill level. Also this leaves the usefullness of NPC doctors which cure everything right away and not over time.

 The reason why I came up with this idea was because I was leveling a character kept getting radiated fighting floaters and centuars leveling a new build probably spent a networth of 10,000 caps just curing radiation and trading for radaway.Then I thought how useful would it be to have a doctor character who can cure radiation to save time and caps.
