Yo, how deee!partners, mah first topic for the FOnline Comunity, i have a small suggestion in mind for the forum.
Is not a big deal, i understood how the forum market works, but the Buy and Sell boards are only for trading with caps.
So, back to my cattle, i suggest you add a board for trading item for item, just for this topic over here (http://fodev.net/forum/index.php/topic,24869.msg208200.html#new) and many others.
Hope you like it, please tell me what you think.

it's more difficult to define the worth of items in trade "item against item"..
and possibility of replies to those offers are very limited, even more as now in trading offers in forum..
maybe it works in game, but rarely and not as imagined.. there is simply nobody who wants to trade your 2 flints for 1 wood or something, sure it would be cool and falloutish..
but in this wasteland is market only for rich people or you trade with npc´s. a pity.

If you would actually trade, you would know that's not the case.
You can gather or craft stuff to sell to "rich people". No need to be rich for that.
You can hunt blueprints and sell them to "rich people". No need to be rich for that either.
This week, for the 2nd time this session, I created a thread (http://fodev.net/forum/index.php/topic,24770.0.html) to sell blueprints. I don't sell at high prices, nor at fixed prices, and have no problem selling them to people I assume are not "rich".
Still a trade forum might not be a bad idea. I'm just not sure if it will work. A lot of players aren't interested in buying/trading a lot of items as they can easily be farmed or gathered.

basicly this was also the essence in my post.

that average market in 2238 only works with at least one person who have caps. (is rich :D)

yeah.. not both sides need caps to do a trade. i know that. even without actually trading..
