Title: Train stations cheaper.
Post by: Brujah on July 11, 2012, 01:43:09 am
100 caps is way too much to make them worth it...

I feel that those maps are way too well-done and that the train feature is way too cool to leave something like this forgotten.

My suggestion is that train tickets cost only 10 caps and more ways to find out about these locations added, not only it would help people to move around but it would also encourage them to walk around with at least some caps in their pockets, wich is important because... Well... It's money, who leaves his house without at least a few bucks on his pocket?

It reminds me those stables/ships in M&M series, annoying as hell. The worse it is as you have to wait for quite some time. It could be free and it'd still be underused.

It takes like 60 seconds for a train to arrive.

They don't always arrive or you don't always see them.
I used them to go from the Boneyard to SF yesterday.
When I wanted to go back, I waited 4 in-game hours and no train appeared.
The longer the server is up the more delays the trains have.
It's a nice feature, unfortunately it's bugged.

The VC and Boneyard quest for the train stations can be done with a level 1 alt.
For NCR you need to be around level 4 or 5.
SF doesn't have a train station quest.

Better is to make one. Ideas is what we have a lot, but we can't do everything at once.

I don't have a clue on how to do that and it doesn't have my interested.
Professionally I'm looking in program sources on a daily bases and don't feel the need to do so in my spare time.
