Title: How do you people sleep at night?

So far this session's been pretty quiet, but I remember some pretty f***** up s*** from last season such as massive base rape, treasons and newbies with no tent losing hours of work.

I think the most terrible thing I've ever done was finding a hummer with a bunch of stuff in trunk and the key on the ground (last wipe), I took some of the stuff from the trunk that I would use such as BAs but wasn't "evil" enough to take the car itself... Then I felt like s*** once I left the enc.


So I'd like the opinion of base rapers and grievers in-game, how do you feel about this? Have you ever felt bad about it? Ever regretted stealing/killing something? Ever been an honest player before some tragedy happened to you?


I only want serious answers from serious douchebags, fat 9 year olds that unload all their frustration in-game don't have to post, I know you'll say something like "I raep cuz I'm kewl and evawl!11 hahaxaxahahahjajaja!1" I just want the opinion of people who do it because they don't give a s*** and are cold about it.

I didn't PK and rob people for a week or two after launching the beta. I'd feel bad.
But you know... the voices.. they made me do it. So I PKed and robbed people.

To make a baserape is like seeing an opportunity and taking it. Nothing special.
Throughout last (almost) three years, my team raped main bases of like ~10 various gangs. Some of them made gangs collapse or some people ragequit.

The only time I was feeling bad about that was when they had not so much wealth in their bases, then it's a bit waste of time.
The best thing is that you can always leave them a special message in their empty base, on a holodisc. There, you can even blame some other gang for doing that (or some particular members of a gang) to cause more drama.

After doing that, you just open a bag of popcorn and wait till some whine/cry/drama thread appears. Then, all local wasteland saviours appear how bad it is and how much of a thief you are.

Like anyone cared.

A baseraper once explained his actions by stating that everyone does it. He wasn't particularly liked fellow anyway.

When the base is full of good loot, it feels like feasting on a bowl of fresh, tasty strawberries covered with deliciously sweet whipped cream.
When the base is sort of meh, it's like grabbing a hamburger or a kebab on your way to work.
When it's a base of someone you know, a single manly tear may run down your cheek as you eat the cake.

Basically, it feels good.

It's awesome feature, makes teaming up more than just spamming invites to everyone, and then kicking inactives/retards.
It's not way too much harsh, considering you can have tons of countermeasures.
Maybe there were some problems when dealing with base visibility and other details, but the system itself fits the game very much.

When a member does a baserape, it doesn't always mean that he infiltrated the gang. Infiltration happens but sometimes the baseraper is someone who was bullied and made fun of by all or some of the members of the gang. It's pretty typical hazing situation. They keep that guy around to make fun of him, those who don't bully don't either notice, care or have the courage to speak out. The guy himself is too shy or insecure to leave normally and the bullies don't have the balls to tell him that he doesn't fit in. Then one day the guy is fed up and performs the baserape. This kind of activity is often seen with newly formed gangs which consists of under 20 years old members.

I purposely infiltrated a faction, and spent a month undercover.  I logged into Mumble with them, leveled PvP alts, did group activities, all my new member "duties", and generally had a lot of fun playing noob.  When I decided that I had access to every base I was able to, I decided to take 10 of my team mates to their bunker base.  As soon as everyone was present and accounted for, I logged their Mumble and announced who I was, what I was doing, and why.  We camped it for the next hour and proceeded to kill anyone who entered.  We left without taking a single item.

What else am I guilty of...  ahh, yeah.  Blowing up the guards in NCR, and killing everyone who entered for the next 75 minutes until they respawned.  After doing that every day for a week, we got bored with it.  So instead we decided to craft thousands of Super Stims, and use sneakers to Super Stim the guards to death.  Again, proceeded to kill all who entered.  There were some rage threads about that week.

I only mention those first two because not only were they my ideas, I was "directing" them, so I'm pretty much fully responsible for them.

Last wipe I bought one car, but had two tents just for parking because I couldn't fit them all in my base, and my first parking tent.  If I found a car on the map, I usually just waited until the player returned and killed them.  Every now and then I would get lucky and find the key (sometimes I would wait for them anyway even after I found it).

I've stumbled onto groups of three players making shared tents, and left the hides on the deck where the players fell with all their gear.

Using an exploit (since fixed with the wipe) to plant bombs on players/steal from them in town.

There's just too much shit to list.

Am I proud of it?  Well, no.  But you wanted to know what and why, so here are my answers.

1.  I didn't start out this way.  After playing for a long while, I realized that the majority of players on the server, or at least the ones who yell the loudest, and simply just cunts.  Not because they PK, because they steal, or grief.  Their attitude just sucks.  They fucking whine and complain about everything.  NOTHING is "fair", they never get "their way", and on top of that they feel entitled to have everything the way they think it should be, like this is goddamn Burger King.  So do I feel guilty?  Not at all.  I could say I'm a product of the game environment, but that would be bullshit.  The truth is, I just very much dislike a LOT of people I run into on the server - PK, APK, whatever.  The only group of decent people I ever had the pleasure of playing with came in the form of a few random people here and there - and the majority of Section 8.  Right or wrong, I put them above most of you.

2.  How do I sleep at night?  On my right side.  I had my nose broken pretty badly during my enlistment, and have a deviated septum.  If I sleep on my left side, I can't breathe, and it keeps my wife up.

TL:DR  I shoot people because they act like cunts.  If they don't act like that, I stop shooting them.

I have only one time murdered another player, was with a friend and some fella entered the enc. I was in bad mood in RL :P
I ordered my friend to kill him. hehe.
All other times i killed was in defense or mining at one of the HQ mines.

id say my kill count probably doesnt reach 60 LOL, My death count.....well i think most people have lost count of their deaths.

Yes I've seen little groups of people/friends trying to be heroes but in a really fail way. I mean people with RIDICULOUS amount of resources doing it FOR GREATER JUSTICE and justice only. No personal interests.

There is not much law enforcement or penalties in the game anyway. It's just a real matter of resources. If anyone supply me with them, I would happily join and kill every single piece of shit outlaw in the fucking game.

If you are feeling bad about killing players or stealing from them or etc.
Just leave some tier 2 and 3 stuff in random unguarded containers in towns (regardless if its protected or not) and you'll sleep just fine.

I think the reason that I don't partake in malicious activities is that I strive to be contrary to the popular. After all, I cannot count the number of times I've been begged by my party not to kill them, to which I always reply, "You sillyface, I never have and I never will kill anyone." When I act, I consider the feelings of the other person always above my own petty selfish desires. When someone's being unbearable to me yes, the thought crosses my mind that I could take one step forward and empty my P90c into their pretty armored chest. Do I take the next logical step and click, swap modes to burst, target, and double/tripleburst? Most assuredly not! There are a whole plethora of reasons why I do not and I will list the most pertinent of them here!


FOnline is a true reflection of the deviance and hatred in the world that we inhabit, as it is a mental extension of it. I act here as I do in the real world. With nothing but love and respect for those who deserve it. And I even retain my good will and concern for those who most would say perhaps are undeserving of it. But here, you can't reach across the table and slap them in the face, and that gives trolls and do-badders even more incentive to act to their most base accordances, and makes being kind and sweet far more challenging. It's easy to take up a minigun and run into town to one-hex someone you really don't like. I challenge you instead to have a logical, respectful debate with them. Sometimes even I fail at this, as the discussions tend to get hyperpersonal and someone always brings a grease gun to a microphone fight but that is where you have done basically all you can do. Most people are convinced that their way is the right way and the only way, delusional and assuredly arrogant. Challenge them at a game they know not how to play and you will find that even if you fail this time, or next time, maybe, just maybe, if you can make a difference in one person's life, then it was all worth it in the end. :)

  • I know what it feels like to be slaughtered in the most horrible ways and I would not inflict that on someone undeserving.

I don't kill bluesuits normally, unless they just happen to get in the way.
I generally also just ignore leather jackets unless they have a weapon.

Leather armor and above is just asking for it though.  So I sic my dogs on them and just eat some popcorn.  Some amusing stuff.

Bases?  raping bases?  I raped a base or two.  one was some anonymous person Reese asked me to help him with.  Was like 'whatevs'.  raped it.  good lewt.

The other was a friend's base who had gone inactive for a month.  so I actually just 'salvaged' his base.  Now THAT base...  damn.  10 mln caps.  (This was the week I just constantly bought 5 lsw mercs and destroyed tttla guys entering new reno).  Fun stuff.

I generally sleep face to pillow. I honestly wonder if one day I may suffocate myself but that has yet to happen.

Baseraping? ... I don't find that fun, it's too simple, using the trust of someone and then ... what take some items i don't need?

The common answer upon a random kill, "why?" and i always want to answer honestly, simply "because i can." Unless the guy says something like this, "please, can you let me do this one quest then i will be on my way?", and the usual answer is "Sure, why not." See how simple was that, i'm just always so surprised when random bluesuits(ok, some LA, sometimes even armed) are just running by, not even scouts, i can just tell it's not a scout, he is just a guy that hopes he's not going to get killed if he doesn't speak? Wrong! ;D I'm so creative, ain't I?

Most hilarious thing ever is when a bluesuit is starting a conversation with something like this, "don't shoot me!" and i have a gatling gun in my hands, don't have to be a genius to understand what needs to be done. That's like asking for it.

And WHO THE HELL would all you happy people be, if it wasn't for the likes of savages like myself, raping blue suits, and brutally murdering innocent people.

You'd all be dirt if you had nothing to compare yourself too...

And the most enjoyable experiences I've had in 2238, is beating people to the brink of death, crippling all of their limbs in the middle of a zone, Then making them tell jokes - and fulfill stupid requests, JUST for my enjoyment, before taking all their items (Except armor), and leaving them TKO'd in mutie land to die.

Ah ha ha ha :D

LOL or bringing 4 recruits to a car with seats for only 3 and myself...  throwing spiked knuckles or a double barrell on the ground, and instructing them to sort it out themselves. Haha.

An entire lack of leadership, advertising strategy, and NO attempt at tutorial or instruction, is what did...

I pickpocket people on my main for fun. I just like to run up and snatch things from people, doesn't matter what it is or whether I need it or not.

On my alts I shoot the shit out of people for fun. Killing noobs isn't too exciting because I might as well be shooting crippled molerats that have been painted blue, so I often let them go if they don't start shooting first. I like good fights with people, so I sometimes go to Reno or I go look around areas where I've run into well armed players before.

Last wipe I stole the keys to some dude's car from his pocket after he foolishly parked in NCR. I drove off in his buggy that had what must have been his savings in the back, just over 50k caps. Lately I've been doing more killing than stealing. I've been suffering more lag as of late, which makes jacking stuff a little more difficult, I used to hang around NCR all day long last wipe.

When i meet people in encounters or unguarded spots, i leave them if they run in opposite direction, i shoot/beat them to the ground then ask them who they are, if they had a intermediate gear, then FA them.
Heavy gear and stupid nicks get killed and looted. Meeting parties and damage report make me tactical retreat behind next wall.

Also, i sleep quite well, thank you.

Hai, it's been a while since I posted on these forums. Thinking of coming back..

I used to make dynamite, alot. I'd proceed to plant dynamite on everyone I possibly could.
Then, I'd watch them blow up and lol at them. I'd do this to anyone I encountered, it's by far the most amusing thing I've done.

lol i bet we all have done things much more horrible in real life we can regret, like hurting someone or making something stupid being drunk, like for feeling guilty for killing someone in a game

Before wipe I killed a lot of player in towns (even defended)if they had cars or some usable stuffs.I killed em my friends took the stuffs or the car.

Since than I have nightmares.I can hear they screamin in my dreams and I can seet their cars as we take it and paint it with the blood of the owners  :'( :'(
