http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_P90
...It has a capacity of 50 rounds and it is clear plastic...
my sugestion 36 rounds - 3 burst,its more logical than 2 burst
-
this p90 is in 21 st century, not in 23rd :> weapons change...
-
I like this idea. If assault rifles can get 40, then 36 seems very good for this weapon which I use often.

Yeah, weapons get better, so 36 would be better than 24.
-
Also Fallout universe does not equal ours after A-bomb drops...
I think weapon balance needs to be done very carefully and such rush changes could only mess it up.

it is only on the number of rounds in the clip, not the characteristics

weapons were developed by HK in 20 or 21 century, not later than 2077

but the fallout universe splits from ours a while before anything like a P90 was invented, hence the prevalence of ww2 style submachineguns and early assault rifles.

first thing real p90 is made by FN(Belgium, Fabrique Nationale) it has 50 rounds of 5,7 ammo...
however in Fallout universe we have non-existing HK(German, Heckler & Koch) version, then it is shooting 10mm ammo and having 24 rounds in a clip :P
why only 24 rounds... for example-because in 50's (fallout retro style) smg clips were small, there were no "3-column" or "4-column" clips, these were developed I believe in 80's or 90's.
this beauty for example has 50 round "4-column" clip

and believe i didnt need wiki to post this thing about p90

I added something to my post, please read. (this one can be deleted)

p90 was invented in the 80's, put into service in the 90's

The P90 in Fallout is a H&K and not a FN. So these are two different weapons. Wikipedia is not a valid source in this case. :p

its last true rule for p90(FoT), Interplay. :P not wikipedia
FN P90c
ammo 9mm
capacity 50
weight 10
str 4
fire single burst
damage 14-22 12-19
rounds 5
Range 22 18
AP 4 5

In Fallout Tactics it was the FN P90, yes. But this is not Fallout Tactics online. :p

smallgunners continue to suffer? :o
-
That would be quite powerfull weapon with 3 bursts in round ;) Thats why Lexx don't like that idea.
-
after the wipe take the damned fast shot and brof, (if they stack) burst from p90 costs you 3ap then.
you make a char with 12 ap, equip 2 x p90, and spam 4 burst in first turn...
if you take jet you can even reload...
isn't it good enough for you?
-
In real time fights its rather frustraiting to switch weapons so your solution Kharaam is only for turn based fighters. Moreover, are u not afraid of walking around with 2 expensive weapons? I would like to meet u on a desert ;)
-
Well, actually the P90 in Fallout 2 and FOnline is some kind of creepy parody of the true P90. It uses actually something like 5.7mm instead of 10mm.
-
yes the two p90 example is for turn-based only... I don't do much PvP.
Manero my char after the wipe will use dual p90, but wait... aren't you in the same gang as me? :D
-
Me and Parano just sponsored your first Cave - base, Kharaam. It's quite sad that member of Street Queens faction don't know that ;) Im from BBS.
-
ok I've PMed you Manero.
Now let's get back to buisness
One other thing why HK p90 couldn't have more ammo in clip is because 10mm bullets are far more bigger than "tiny" 5,7mm.
If such gun evere existed 50 or even 36 10mm bullets wouldn't fit the p90's clip, and methinks there would be no possible way to expand its size.
Just look how it is installed there.

Simple mathematics
5mm - 9gr 50*9gr = 450gr
10mm - 12gr 36*12gr= 432gr
More Questions?
-
these are bullets weights right? so please explain what weight has to do with clip capacity because I just simply don't get it....
I think that bullets volume would count(i mean the measurments) 5,7 mm are way thinner and shorter than 10mm

international abbreviation for the gramm
hell no...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gram
it gram is "g" for sure, but we are not talking about this.
10 mm is about 8,7 gram
while 5,7 mm is about 1,5 gram
but please explain to me what the weight of the bullet has to do with amount of space it takes inisde of a clip???
yes this bullets are filled with gunpowder and other stuff, but why do you think that wieght limits the size of a clip.
I just don't get your way of thinking, so please explain...

5mm(rifles and minigun) base diameter=9,58mm length=99,1mm
5mm JHP
A brick of small, lightweight ammunition. Caliber: 5mm, jacketed hollow-point.
Caliber 5mm
AC modifier 0
DR modifier 35
Damage adj 2/1
Weight 9 grams (i real life 4 grams)
Base price 12 caps
9mm-10mm(pistol and SMG) base diameter=9.96mm length=48.84mm
you are absolutely wrong, my friend, size of 5.45 mm is much larger than 10mm
-
now you are talking about 5mm ammo which is a rifle ammo! (bigger than 9/10mm i agree) 5,7 ammo for p90 is a pistol/smg ammo which is thinner in diameter.
and no. You can't fit rifle ammo to a SMG :)
just check the sizes of 5,7 ammo on wiki
glad this not turining into flame or trolling, and nobody compared anybody to Hitler yet :P

acknowledge their mistake, then start correcting, respect

;D such things happen to me and i just like scoring posts :P
goodnight.

but the problem with fitting ammunition into a clip isn't how heavy it is, hollow or no its size is still the same, its about volume not weight.
