Compass - Increase world map travel speed if it's in one of your hand slots.
Backpack - Increase your carry weight if it's in one of your hand slots.
Night vision goggles - Increased perception at night but reduced during the day, worn as a helmet.
Binoculars - Higher chance to spot encounters and higher perception when previewing towns, must be in a hand slot.
Gas mask - Improved radiation/poison resistance, worn as a helmet.
Map - Will reveal the location of the base or tent it was crafted in to whomever consumes it.
-
Apart from dismantling kit, they can come handy.
-
All those sounds good to me.
Hmm.. I would add to list
Camouflage Jacket - Less encounters
Edit: Sorry english :P
-
I like those a lot.
Especially the backpack.
You could also add some things that add to skills like:
Fine clothes - Adds 10% to your speech skill
Doctors garments - Add 5% to your doctor skill
Would also add to roleplay experience if it was easier to obtain non-combat garments.

Huh, I don't think it's logical to get some kind of magical bonus just from wearing clothes.
Nevertheless you don't want some of those to appear in game, trust me.

How is it magical to have clothes facilitate your profession? Last time I checked clothes can be functional in any physical activity.

I believe the binoculars would successfully carry out this function, as you spot the encounters and are able to choose to avoid them.
I also want to make things easy on the Devs if they decide to implement any of these, because I'm sure they don't want to add any new armors, which is why I'm limiting it to items that can be held in a hand slot and helmets.

the "map" proposition is so obvious i wonder why tent sharing is done like now , we need to have option to add to tent later ,and not use multilog or fiddling with radio to make shared tents period

Ok, but really wearing white clothes by no mean allows to better fix broken limbs. It just does not make any sense.
It'd be like "there are some scalpels and shit in pockets" and then it'd be weird that you can't just pickup those and use some normal suit or armor.

Because it's an equipment set. Doctor coat is white to make sure you know where to clean off the blood, and that if there is any blood spurting you it's easily recognized whereas darker clothes may conceal it. And the pockets and design allows easy maneuver and allocation of the tools, which assumably are included with the clothing.
By your reasoning it would require we have a separate item for each and every tool?
Unlikely possibility, yet this doctor coat is perfectly reasonable, as it is also already ingame.
(although, it doesn't contain all the sprites so meh)

would be cool have more things too use in the game
-
I think the map of all of things, is the best part suggested.
This can be also stolen, raided or sold, also it could lead to certain special encounters, like some kind of treasure dungeons (Bunker encounter with more critters)

Bicycles to get through the underground tunnel between vault city and ncr being blocked by the snorlax.
-
What's a snorlax? I'm a bit of a slowpoke here.

Ah, you mean pokemen! I heard kids really diglet this stuff.
Also, while we're at it: how about adding ammo clips that can save a AP at reloading?

I see what you did there...
We need spectacles to do something, if they are a rare item, they could increase PE with 2 when worn as helmet.
