Do people sell items caps bases caps ect. for real cash?

Depends how much and whom you gonna pay, because there's no exchange rate for caps/money.
For a big PvP faction 50K could be a deal of a evening but for a loner it could be a week of work.
Also, in case of scam it would be a tricky business.

No offense, but... really? You would pay real money for virtual caps in a beta game that has bugs, scammers, and could be wiped in a week from now (though that last part isn't probable) that just consists of gangs farming tons of caps anyway?

That's what gonna happen in 95% cases, if people scam others at beta test in trading section for almost nothing... when it comes to real money, even more scammers will appear.

Abe, i honestly would do that.
I'm often in no mood to craft things/hunt caps/do quests. There is usually no caps at vendors. When i get some caps, two hours usually lasted and these two hours i could spend more productive.
So, if someone has a more efficient way of getting caps, by trading or PvP or whatever, i'd really contact him and make a price. I'll spend money i earned at my work IRL, and i don't want to work in my free time for getting caps.
And if both sides are satisfied, that's only fair. However, in case of scam, i'd like to quote Lexx: "shit hits the fan when it comes down to money."

Definitely no, don't bring in devs in this game or they could get trouble for co-organising this. This should be made completely by players. Or trusted factions, in this case.

I think this guy is just too desperate (I know getting caps is just little harder than before wipe, but still possible with few tricks)
