Title: rubber boots worth something?

found some rubber boots...any idea's?
can i use them to protect my character from the rad pools in the toxic caves like in f2

They work as if you had "Tree trunk thighs" perk taken if you got them in your inventory.

No value, you can even spawn with the boots in your inventory.
