I usually see spammers back within 5 minutes, whats the hold up it's been 30.

I got banned from IRC in August.It took till December for my ban to expire...

turns out using icechat just bypasses the ban

That's because bans on #2238 are given for ident, not IP. But both can be changed in one minute.
