sigh to get a brahmin use a rope on one in a enounter or buy one from ncr.
leaveing a brahmin/mercs does not make your tent enounterable. so they are safe to leave in tent.

Falloutdude your first post disappoints me some.  The heavy sigh, you do realize there is nothing in game that tells people how they might get a brahmin in the wastes.  In fact there is very little instruction in this game for new players.  Now that is NOT your fault, but it's an example of how 1) This game has become soo much less usable for newer players. and 2) How the player base has become less tolerant of new players, and the changes that might be needed in game to assist them.

The wiki says +1 then half the number of dogs you could have (40 Party Points Each). So with a base cha of 5 and a speech of 50% you should be able to own two, but I haven't tried this. One cow has always been enough for me.
