Title: Need help. vendor('s) (in vault city) doesn't show value of my items

hi it's a bit hard to explain but when i put items like a leather jacket in the trade bar to trade i don't get a value indication?
It's hard to trade this way without knowing how much caps it's worth.
Help much appreciated.

The trader in bar does not accept leather jacket so the value is 0. Try fruit, ammo, skins, rocks, rope, junk, metal parts, beer...
