I'm sure it has it's reasons (infact I can probably guess) but, when you tell your followers to move to and they sit there, even in towns and tents etc they still follower.  Thus this forces you to talk to each and every follower and tell them to "Stay here".

I suggest a command: "Stay at location".  That will cause them to stay in the map they are currently in and not follow you at all.

yes really annoys me to have to talk to each one and say stay here derp.
