I know it's a bit overkill, but it would be nice being able to use that weapon to gather fibers.
-
If the devs are willing to implement this, remember of switch blade as well :)
-
Wakizashi is not some knife you know?
But switchblade would be good to be working this way
-
Would ripper count?
-
would u use mini-chainsaw for delicate job of fibers extraction? rly?

A short finely crafted KNIFE. The tip seems to be designed to pierce armor.
Trolololo.
-
That's NO knife!
It's a kind of an masterpiece asian shortsword variant
put some knowledge to your head instead of "trolololo"
EDIT: The wakizashi is a traditional Japanese sword. It is shorter than the katana, which was well known in the beginning of the 17th century as a kodachi sword. The two swords were always carried together: the wakizashi finished off the work of the katana sword. Such a sword could be from 30cm to 60cm (12 to 24 inches) long. A small version was called a "ko-wakizashi", a longer one was called an "o-wakizashi". (wiki)

But it cut, it look like knife, and if u can cut with it guy in metal armor you can same cut some plant...am i wrong?
-
It's too long (RL dexterity penalty) and sharp to take out fibers from the plant intact imho
Still you could cut the plant to pieces along with the fibers but that's not what you all have had in mind right?
-
It doesnt have to be same wakizashi as in our universe
-
If it were for example Tonto (it's like a japanese dagger - looks like wakizashi but is way shorter and guardless) i'd be for using it for fibers extraction. Wakizashi just wouldn't cut it (other way than to pieces ;) )

this blade have +/- 30cm so it is ok to cut some plant

With guard? I'd like anyone to try that with a replica
Oh well enough with this topic... i'm dropping it
