Tents should be labeled to show who created them.
We have no idea whose tent we keep our stuff at and as such we have made an Alt to avoid accidentally overwriting our current tent.
Unfortunately the Alt does not have the Ranger perk... :(
-
Well with myinfo command you display where is your tent. But sure, could be still usefull.
-
i agree i got a alt with like 10 tents on it i dont know who's tent is who's sometimes.
-
What is the my info command?
-
Type ~myinfo
Here is the full list of commands.

Thing is, tent is meaned to be for one player only and not alts and alts tents and alts alts alts tent. Therefore, more information is not needed, as - normally - every player only has one tent in the moment anyway.

But players can share tents. I have more than 1 on world map without any alts or gang.
Now think about gang of 10 people who share their tents.
In fact it's much more likely to remember your own alts' tents and you don't have to care which alt it belongs to.
So it only makes it harder for people with "legitimate" tent sharing.

Yea, but it was more accident than a wanted feature. It was never intendet to have "tent sharing." ;)
Well, if tents are getting some kind of access list at some point, it might change, but right now not so much.

Last era I had a character with access to 10 tents. I never once forgot which one is mine

Me neither. But:
- First of all when it comes to usability, I don't think it's a good argument to say "I don't have problems remembering stuff, so others shouldn't either".
- I'm sure even you can imagine situation when you have 10 tents on WM and someone on IRC says "Put the armor you owed me in my tent near San Fracisco, thanks. And near SF you have access to tents of 3 different people.
- It doesn't stop one guy from having 10 alt tents, because he won't have this problem. In the worst case alters can relog and type ~myinfo. Only people who share with real people get punished. In fact merlin told that they overcame the problem with more alts :)
- Having tents labeled wouldn't be a nuisance for people with 1 tent. But not having it can be a nuisance for people sharing many tents.
- Even if sharing tents wasn't intended feature the fact is this is how people play this game. Not having labels won't change this.
Overall all I see here so far is "no because no" :)

Flares weren't intended feature and look what happened. Push for labels and next thing we know you won't be able to share tents.

In my opinion, tent labelled in worldmap would be good.
Usefull as we know to whom its belongs.
Interresting, as we can enjoys more names of place when we travel on worldmap.
Also, it would be great to have the same thing with bases.
" Lost Alamo oupost. You see a big-sized base with a house and temporary walls. It belongs to the Wasteland Wildlife Protectors"
"Base South N1 Secret Cave. You see a small secret cave hideout. It belongs to the guardians."
So you will recognize in case of little faction who share hideouts, who invited you in those bases and enjoys those with a nice name.

Im for this too, cannot see a the reason why not to have this. Along with base labels.

Too much text. Simplify it.
Tent
Shonsu
Or for a base
Depot
Shonsu's base (or whatever I named it).

The little text is already ingame, for bases as for town.
