So there was a thread complimenting all the nice folk, very nice thread, plenty of compliments, as well as it helps the newcomers know who to look for if they ever need a helping hand...
This thread has gotten 5 pages long and continues to grow.
While I believe it is nice to allow threads complimenting these people and such, I feel it is unfair and unjust to lock the thread discussing the opposite.
Shortly after reading the "Nice Guy Thread" I felt the urge to discuss the "Bad Guy Thread" and thus made one...
Only to find it was locked roughly 2 days later?

So my question is:
Why is it okay to glorify the good, but not to discuss the bad?
I feel that locking a thread that could bring about conversation about the dangerous folks in the wasteland is extremely bias.
Please, maybe I'm missing a rule or something, but this is disconcerting to some extent.

I think a lot of the same ground is covered in the "list of baddies" thread here (http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=20154.0). Regarding the thread itself, my guess is that as the "intended helpful discussion" didn't really materialise, there was pretty much just a few people "internet-shouting" at each other, and that sort of thing tends to get locked.
I suppose between the two (heroes / villains) threads, nobody complains when you post to say they're nice - they tend to say "thank you, I enjoy helping new players etc". If you instead post that they're an arsehole, then they're going to start arguing how they're not, then you'll argue back... argue argue, etc etc, spam.

Stop cry babying every time somebody PKs you and steals your stuff deal with it you whine too much. A thread with a list of baddies and goodies is pointless and has too much whining and blah blah blah nonsense.

Luther already explained it. We've had threads like these in the past and they were never fruitful or contained anything useful. It only ends in "XY is an asshole!" "What? ABC is the worst asshole!" "No u" "No u" "Your mom" etc. It's everytime the same and not worth the effort - especially in such a game where generally being an asshole seems to be encouraged. This is why I haven't locked the "nice guy" thread too - we didn't have such a thread before and I wanted to see if this thread turns out the same like the others.
