Since throwing range is str*5 and most ranged weapons have a max of 15, this perk only has an effect if you have 1 str.
"Each level of the Heave Ho! Perk gives you an additional +2 to Strength (up to 10,) for purposes of determining range with thrown weapons only. This Perk will not exceed a weapon's maximum range. "
To have a perk that only does something in that one circumstance and has multiple ranks for no reason is stupid, so to make this perk useful im suggesting that the bonus to range extend the maximum range of the weapon. Since 10 hexes x 3 would be way too far to throw a grenade i suggest each rank adds 5 hexes of range to the max range, or possibly one rank that adds 10.

That's the best thing I've read since my own posts :3

Suddenly, everyone is using plasma grenades (best damage output in game, isn't affected by psycho, can throw 7 on full AP with Jet - the only thing keeping Throwing from becoming be all, end all combat skill is range). How about no? ::)
-
And don't forget that Toughness is useless against Grenades too :)

25 range still can't compete with big guns or energy weps and plasma nades are a pain in the ass to make. Plus its not like plasma nades are the only throwing weapon, you can't claim that the other ones are anything but seriously underpowered.

... like Dynacord, eh? 10 hex difference isn't that much, most fighting happens below 25 anyway. Increasing grenade range beyond 15 is going to seriously fuck the PvP balance up, at least at the top tier, so in my book it's a big no-no.

I thought dynacord wasn't in game yet? Either way it wouldn't unbalance pvp because pvp isn't balanced, everyone goes minigun anyways.

I dare you to post a screenshot of everyone using minigun in a large TC fight. Don't have one? What a shame.
Oh, and no, despite the efforts like this little endeavor endgame PvP is more or less balanced, even though post-wipe changes made it less balanced than before. I'd rather have it stay that way.
In b4 - yes, I've got both a sniper and a biggunner and I'm even making a throwing char right now cause even at 15 hex it's absolutely deadly, so I couldn't care less as far as my personnal gain goes.

So reduce the damage a bit on plasma nades, either way heave ho is a useless perk and needs to be reworked.

It's not useless, it's very limited. And please leave weapon values alone, tinkering with them and the criticals has done enough bad already. None of the changes introduced so far are definitely good - if anything, they introduce new problems.

Oh, what the fuck? 25 range for plasma nades? No.
