Is this possible? I want to be able to play fonline while i'm taking a crap, or waiting on a bus.
-
Lol nice idea. I think it would be possible if cvet do "multi-platform features".
-
I know it's possible to play F1 and F2 by emulating windows 95 on your android device, maybe this could work with FO2238 aswell ?

Unlikely, as FOnline is using a different engine. Even if it would work, I'll guess the performance would be much worse, as it has higher requirements than Fo1/2.
-
And damn your fingers when you get into a RT-Encounter with 50 br0s who want to kill you ;)
F1 und F2 seems nice for android though, Ill check things out.

AFAIK you have drag the mouse around with your finger since Windows 95 isn't touch screen friendly. You probably should emulate Windows 7 (touch screen friendly), but the performance would be really bad. Maybe it could work on Android tablet, but not on a phone. Though, quick use of Google didn't give any good results for Windows 7 emulator for Android.

Thats awesome! My phone's a dual core with a gig of ram so I think it can handle it... Would probably be better on a touchpad though. But being able to pull out my phone and set a merc trap/bomb plant in ncr from anywhere would be really awesome! I might try it with the windows emulator later

Oh, okay, and how about PvP? I mean, playing FOnline isn't only mining, you know?

And the battery on your phone would die out quick. You'd only play like twenty minutes of the game before your Android dies.

exactly like using a laptop's touchpad because of the nub, but the touchscreen doesnt seem to work properly with FO

too bad that devs aren't looking in this direction.
this would definitely boost amount of active players, bring fresh blood.
people would even pay monthly subscription for such joy (first month - for free, than - 1$/month).
requirements are not the issue here - currently we already have quad core androids and this platform is only few years old.
P.S. Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/) for initial funding?

Fonline exists because its non profit, otherwise bethesda would have sued everyone.

all those fallouts are EMULATED via dosbox and are not even playable. and yes, if someone would menage to rewrite code and program it for android IT IS POSSIBLE to have fonline on smartphone. and no, emulating fonline 2238 is not possible, emulated fallout is DOS version of game.
I got smartphone with 1ghz processor and 512 mb of ram and i got 5-10 fps in fallout.
-
Damn!
There should be a way to make this precious to run on tablets (android\iOS) ::)

Not necessarily. I have Fallout 2 running in Windows XP on Android using QEMU. But it is quite unplayable anyway :)
