Maybe this was suggested, but there are too many topics... Is it possible to implement online-player counter on start up screen, like this one on forum index page?

TL;DR - possible, but pointless.
Suggested already (http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=16611.0), but still no valid argument to do so. In-game commands should focus on issues that can't (due to lack of interface solution or whatever other reason) be solved other way, not being a tools for lazy players. Especially that there are at least 4 other ways to find this info: checking forum or direct status link (http://fo2238.fodev.net/status/), asking Librarian on IRC (http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=247.msg24063#msg24063), or use her notes (http://www.rookie.name/fonline/playerStats.php). And last, fastest way (used by all previous solutions) described here (http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=2351.msg19771#msg19771). No point for adding yet another one.
