Title: Something new to do at encounters

I would like to see something else to do in encounters than checking caves, gathering roots or other resources..
Maybe something "small" quests like help farmers kill geckos to protect their homes for example.

Also something skill required works like:
Repair well for exp and maybe something basic stuff.
Heal injured person and got exp.

Just small jobs like that.

Make few maps for these "to do" thingies.
Write scripts that can manage these thingies.

Upgrade caves to be more rewarding/entertaining than they are now

AND if the cave is empty make a script making it also the smallest one possible or adding a cave-in blocking further way

Seems a decent idea to me, the more complexity and variability you could build into them the better too.

i could map, and maybe suggest some miniquests, but you know im mapper, not writer, also i can't do anything without devs ehh Lexx's permission.

if you want to make something big, always ask content manager first. If you don't, your XXX hours work would be wasted in case of rejection.

Yeah, i already wasted over 10000 manhours on the truck.
And the animations.
I'm not bitter about it at all, i learned a bit about modeling, too.


But, so it means nobody should attempt to contribute anything to the game, because someone on the top might reject it?
And if you just suggest it, it will be just dismissed as empty wanna-have talk...

Sounds like a vicious circle to me. What should one do, then?

nah i asked Lexx on IRC, i probabaly have ehm permission

but i'm not going to start working on it right now, but stay tuned. i could finish something this year :)

Maybe the plants are part of a miniquest to help the farmer to clear his garden.

Why killing again?
You can get a watering, harvesting or a digging quest or just steal a waterbag, fruits or a shovel after killing the farmer with it.

Nah, i was referring it to previous post - getting rid of carnivorous plants. ;) I'm really looking for stuff that don't involve blood in FOnline.

Yeah be peacefull. Like bring Jet and porn to old farmer. Or babysit his kid when he goes to virgin street...... xD Or just tidy his shed (pick up shitload of junk on ground.) Help with brahmin slaughter (use knife on table for certain amount of meats.) or crops harvest(fruits). Or maybe I am just obsessed with wasteland farmers doing their daily boring routine. xD

At the end, this farmer will end up dead so many times by hands of some...lets call them raiders.

So what, wasteland being harsh and all.
NPCs will wait, then stand up and dust themselves off, while saying "damn kids with guns" Maybe with crippled body parts, which needs healing by a doctor passing by.
