Rain is just for reality, but in wastes we don't need such things :)

Displaying the rain has nothing to do with server performance and only a very minor effect on the clients performance.

Because it doesn't rain very often in the desert. All rain you saw in the game so far was only due to GMs playing with commands.

Besides this, there is a difference between "not very often" and "none" like we have in the game right now. NPC in Fallout mention rain aswell. But yeah, why should an already working feauture be used, new stuff is boring anyway, eh? :>

that would be so cool to add rain. for along time to, like a few hours so people get a chance to see it and suffer threw it.

yeah.. so i was scrolled down like a secc ya kno, to read below and stuff, so them pictures you hoisted up surf are fucking awsome..
it really does rain alot over heaar. more often then not... evin though ,some times it feels like it has gone for ever, it still rains like, ya know, a few days over in that direction, or evin just hours pending of if you driven..? eh, right..

You don't need to explain the california desert to me, thanks. Besides, I didn't wrote that it's good to have no rain at all. In fact, a weather system is already work in progress since a while.

The fact that we play this 'game' in it's beta for the purpose of bringing forth our feedback about the things we like and don't like sorta means that we shouldn't leave if we hate it. I dunno maybe they changed what beta testing means.

Honestly I don't really see much of a point in having rain, this isn't a game about graphics, now if the rain affected % chance to hit I might think differently.
(Also Eternauta I think everyone got his suggestion wrong maybe it had to do with Tourettes)

Meh my post was off topic and in response to yet another persons post stating if you don't like this game move on.
As far as the Rain, it adds atmosphere yay, if it changed to hit like night does, hey that might be cool. If it lowers chance of random encounters with other players because for example it made it harder to see, watch out the whining from pks will commence, cause that's realism that isn't in their favor. If it never comes into game, well it's just one of a million ambiance things that will be thought about later and no one will probably lose sleep over it.
