There is a reason why i always play in turn time in encounters - not to get suprised by instant kills of my char when map i loading and because if anyone arrives at the scene i have i time to react
I have an option "always turn time"
picked turn time option when entering "my" encounter
So why after battle if someone new enters it is changed to real time?
I mean when you are looting bodies of the dead there is NO DEFENSE against someone who spawns behind your back and bursts his magazine in your back
One case of being capable of defending would be that after first shot of another player RT would come into TT again (just as i've chosen to be) but thats not the case...
I vote for making some kind of defense in that case (proposed by me or otherwise fair way)
Changing "private encounter" from TT to RT isn't very fair in my opinion
-
I don't do TB but in RT only there is no "option" to pick as you enter the encounter, do you possibly have both enabled and only choose TB when you hit the encounter? Sounds like a possible bug to me.
-
It seams like a bug or a glitch
(btw even if you have option "always TT" when you get encounter, which you may cancel, you may still decide whether to do it in TT or RT... and i've chose TT)

What are you actually suggesting in this topic?
-
I'm suggesting that once you choose to fight in an encounter in Turn Based mode all further combat should be resolved in that mode within that encounter
-
And it is. TB/RT is map setting, and it's set only when map is created, basing on settings of map "owner" - and it's never changed later.
...but if you want to make maps keeping TB mode active until last player exits the map, then it's terrible idea.
-
It does stay in tb, sounds like you have won a fight ended cmbt and then be blown away by the shot that initiates turnbased combat. I think you might be able to solve this by turning off your end combat button. ( does that work?)

Guys... I've chosen my words very carefully in that last post of mine

I'm sorry to disappoint you Wipe but it isn't as you think. And once more; i don't think TB is good idea for solving entire encounter - just the combat and combat only (as i stated above)
Spears as i said i ended combat... but the guy who spawned behind my back DID NOT initiated TB combat with his burst. It happened in Real Time (since combat was ended before there were no "turn" nor "end" buttons available)
PS. If you say Wipe that what happened shouldn't be the case then i think this topic should be moved into "Bugs" category
-
Actually because out of combat world goes in Real Time, just like original Fallout. The first one to shoot is the first one to attack, try to insult someone in Fallout, he will have first turn even if you have higher Sequence.

Maybe in Follouts but not in fonline
When i'm attacking brahmins for example with my melee crafter with PE = 1 then my attack initiates Turn Based combat BUT brahmin gets to attack first so i don't get the first turn (it works as it should IMO)
However my problem was that the guy who blown me didn't turn to TB - everything happened in RT even if it was my TB encounter...
-
For the reason i said. Basically he "initiated" combat, and had the first and, sadly for ya, last turn.
-
If it would be the case he wouldn't be running an instant after he shot me
(cause it takes at least two "instants" to end your TB combat before you can run again)
-
Then might be a bug, or maybe he used all his AP so turn ended immediately, and with it combat, and with it he could run again.

Hmmm... that could be the case
Okay - someone wanna help with testing?
