Why offline the server?
Because this is the Day.
Every month there is one day when admins can see their girlfriends so the server is off (you know what I mean).

This is like 4th rollback this week. For what reason? The only thing that it does, is wasting everyone's time.
If they're doing only some database or script changes, then there's no reason for restoring the database from older backups, they could simply make backup before making those changes. Btw, why it's not even announced?
Edit: Give me another reason to whine about it :)

like mich said can people stop making topics every time server is offline damn would really hate to see you people 1-2 wipes ago server would go off all the time.

Shorter cooldowns apparently increased item income, which is now too high for server to handle... ;D

You mean 4 hard-drive crashes in one week? Hardly.
I just found out that my character lost 2 levels, plus a lot of stuff. Same thing as before. Very disappointing.

and roolback era, when it was crashing each half an hour with hour roollback, or sometimes half day rollbacks, and.... ahh good old times

No, I didn't, but I did played (and tested) a lot of games in beta stage, including MMO titles, and I never experienced such wipes, rollbacks and other crap. Usually there is only one "wipe", when moving from beta to final stage. And even after that "wipe", they usually converted all the player's stuff to money/gold, so nobody actually lost anything.
If this is just beta, then why the heck they're doing this? Wasting everyones time is just fun, isn't it?
You can be happy that most of the players didn't ran away after those wipes (and rollbacks). Most of the MMO addicted people really hate loosing their stuff, it's like someone stole something from them, something real.

You shouldn't speak about which you do not know. Many believe the days/weeks after the wipe to be the best time in the game. All of those "beta" mmo's you played were undoubtedly out to make money so they wouldn't do that to people. This is not about making money only enjoyment and playtesting. This is a niche game where you learn to live with losing your stuff and if you don't like it go play hello kitty online.

Seems like you didnt play many games in beta, crashes, rollbacks are frequent there. They are not doing it on purpose so either get used to it or betatest yet another game.
