Farm, sell. Craft, sell.
Aw,okai mate, that s obvious, the problem is i havent seen a single cap in every single protected wasteland shops in the last week...so i was just worrying there werent anymore,or they were very, very scarce.

I think merchants get some new caps and stuff about once a wk (afaik). Sometimes people will come in and buy stuff up with caps. You just gotta keep checking and hit it when its high. Other than that, jobs like shit shoveling, lifting boxes, guarding caravans, and quests will always give you some caps (but not much). Crazy is pretty much right though, when they have caps, you need to have product to sell. Dish it out in little chunks when you have to in order to get what you can when you can.
Hope that helps

its only 1 good answer on this question: Thief

tc wont give you shit. it is supposed to, but it simply doesnt pay. due to the eploiting griefer gangs, that will take the city over just to interupt the income growth.
you are not missing that much. what you are missing is 1) loosing moneys trying to secure the city, naively thinking it will pay back 2) cheap reason for occasional pk.
no caps.
now the best way to get caps is sell to players. there is tons of -somehow- easily obtainable stuff that players will buy in large quantities, and they will pay more than merchants. .223, 7.62, MFC, BA, DKS, LSW, Plasma weapontry, drugs. all that sells great.
you can actually make a lot of moneys at traders, too. selling the excess stuff. good barter character (high carry weight, good OD, decent barter, few-weeks-old raider) gets 50k on average per a barter run.
also, raising barter above 150 (about 200 tops) gets you 75% base price even on unwanted items. so, if you see HUGE caps deposits, you can make that call and sell all the shit there with not so big loses.
if nothing like that suits ya... farm the caps. im just mentioning that is possible, though its long, annoying and boring thing to do.
to make it complete, drink A LOT of nuka cola.

Merchants use to have a lot of caps especially in unprotected towns. Last time I sold items in the casinos of New Reno merchants had hundred of thousand caps (sometimes more than 1 million).
Or
Like Ernest say you can sell items to PvP factions than always have a lot of caps but at that time these factions got all they need (lot of stuff and lot of caps). But I suggest you to sell to good factions or you will get raped and your stuff lost ;D

A lot of useful tips, amazing.Never tought about selling players directly.

Two weeks ago I started a new character and I wanted to play this char alone (without my faction) so I built a tent near New Reno and I gather a lot of flowers to craft weak healing powders. I sold them 40 caps a powder in Renesco's shop and a bit less in casinos. Maybe if you do that with your friends you can gather some caps quickly.
I know it's not a "magic tip" but I haven't played for a long time so I don't know the current way of making large amount of caps.

I used to make rounds oranoud all protected traders. I usually found some money (about 15k) in two rounds. You need parking tends around all cities and decent car for this. But it is possible even without car only takes longer time and you can drag less stuff to sell or barter.

Mapped out some general times when merchants restock, so I make my rounds at least twice a day, though honestly i try to do it at night time since it's safer. Unless I run out of shit to sell I usually find about 100k caps in all from the traders, and 3-4 cas.
