Hi, Just started again, haven't played in a year, so, now where do I find junk. I saw a post that says junk barrels no longer exist.

There is a possibility of finding junk in a city tile encounter. So just go to a tile on the map with city-type stuff in it and enter it. If it's a city map, there will be a chance there is junk scattered on the floor.
