Many times hunting feels tedious mostly because it takes so long to find encounters. Usually it takes more time to find fights than actually fighting. So I was thinking of a way to speed up encounters.
If player crosses the travel line created while traveling, they could find an encounter there. Crossing the travel line involves intentional backtracking and is probably only done by people just wandering the wm in search of encounters.

Agree, when you actually want to fine an encounter it never happens. Very time consuming, but after all, Fonline is simulator of waiting.

i like this. do it devs. dont say farming is bad becuase its not we need guns and dont want to spend 1 hour just to find one good enounter (wasteing time i could use to kill or tc).
like forcefull said fonline is a simulator of waiting, think this is fun? more fighting less time wasteing time crafting and farming.(still should do it not just waste more then half of my time playing doing it)

What encounters were you looking for? Knowing where they are is helpfu.

I personally don't see many reasons either why we have to go back and forth in a square to find the encounters. One could be balance and hoarding, but guess what: it's already there. Say I wanna encounter 10 unity patrols and take their items. It doesn't matter whether those 10 unity patrols are found inside 2h or 30 mins, I've got time to look for them. The current system rewards people with lots of time.
If some player manages to farm 10 unity patrols without dying, then the problem is with encounter difficulty.

avv, because if you walk back you might find someone that was tracking you. So makes sense.

I really dont understand you. The thread is about finding encounters, not about difficulty.
I agree with the original idea. Anything to introduce more playing in the game.

It's also good to have low Outdoor if you want to stumble into encounters more often. Good for leveling, bad for travelling.
