So how long do I have to wait before doing one of these again?

People in various towns are having trouble getting items, so you can help them for a small reward

You can bring:

    A shovel for Dan in Redding, Hub and Gecko.
    Booze for April in New Reno, Den and Vault City (need at least 6 (?) charisma)
    2 radscorpion tails for Mark in Modoc and Junktown.
    2 pieces of junk for Emma in NCR, Boneyard and San Francisco.

Reward

    100 xp
    Hatchet, Sledgehammer or Knife

or

    300 xp

You can do it once AFAIK, however there's the repeatable mini-quest like "Dogs of LA" or "It came from the desert".
