You should search the forum on given information, there are enough offical statements from the staff. Also if you don't like the progress-rate, how about doing something for 2238 yourself to speed things up. I'm sure everyone would love some quality material for this game.

I heard they have done something(dont ask what - ive got no idea), so there is the light of hope that something is going on. All you can do is wait but i would not be so sure if changes will come in june or even july :(

I've been talking about lots of the upcoming things, some are finished, some are half done. There will be an update before too long.
As for why things take time - real life happens. For example I am only just starting to touch my little projects again after nearly 2 months because my son was born and preceeded to take up a large part of the free time I used to have :P.
But as ever, we will have our steady progress, its just the update will change quite a bit, so you need to wait for all of that to be done.

A lil' off topic but I Just logged into say Congratulation Solar! I am the father of a young girl and let me tell you, the first few weeks/months will be the hardest but it is very rewarding. My daughter can now say 'dada' and walk around. Very awesome.
I, for one, am waiting patiently for the next update. I just check fonline2238.net every few days and I am confident one day I will be pleasantly surprised and have to cancel my weekend plans.
Remember, the game is still available for play and you can always help the guys by donating or putting in a lot of quality work and create a map or quest or something.

I've already got a 2 year old daughter - it's just that she was a few months old by the time I started on here. After the first few months it's easier to multitask - its the broken sleep of the first few weeks that takes my will to stuff away!

Whats their excuse? They don't need one, they don't get paid to do this, they do it in their free time. Lets see add a job, possibly going to school, social life and see how much time you have to work on a game like this?

i think it is not very hard to do wipe it would be easer to wait the big update because now there is nothing to do in the game except standing in NCR and talking bullshit . Oh and Congratulation Solar :)

NCR is about the most boring part of the game. True, a lot of PvP is dead, but try fighting in Hinkley, a lot of people play there at the most crowded parts of the day.

Hinkley is dead when i play in noon in Mexico, because is like 2:00 am in Europa, so i dont know if Hinkley is dying or dead, but my last battle there was 1 month ago.

Thats bullshit. Players play pvp on devs rules not their own. So how can they destroy pvp system? I dont like a lot of devs rules so i quit from most of pvp activities(same as many f*ckin experienced guys not only from my gang). At the moment I think that the only playable pvp on 2238 is Hinkley Arena which is definietly FAR from being perfect but fights there are still cooler then for example current TC fights.

What about our server. FOnline2238 need changes, fixes, patches and updates because without them its unplayable and boring piece of shit. And i totally understand that people are angry when they see their favourite game looks abandon by developers. People like Mrgizmo and others.
So developers please... do something :)

small (~20ppl) game studio with not so bad cash financing make not so bad mod for hl2 for more than half year... in same time they make translations for games for 1(!) country, and few more projects. each take long time, big work, and etc.
but they got cash for work, they work from morning to evening (they doo test and small scripts for test game in same time) all theyr day gone nearby pc. (5 from 7 days). so this all based on love or etc to game and cash.
and this 20ppl group is just part of not so small company in not so small political area.
and now imagine all fonline devs and gms, that have theyr not fonline life time. they must got cash for life, i bet its not alot hippies here ( i like hippies ) i mean all players/gm's/devs need get cash (so they spend time for get cash). if fonline cant bring cash and etc - devs make it all just in available for fonline time. how this small group of people still make this all flaming threads ?
it reminds me street art, when human get cash for mats for trafaret and etc not from picture on street. picture looks great - and ! did u ask this man about - wai u make picture so small ? it must be more realistic, 3x5 metres, it must have better idea and etc.

Yeah I don't play anymore. Mostly because the point of testing these things isn't worth it now cause it will change after wipe. Does that mean someones doing something wrong? NO!! The devs do this on their FREE time. You wanna win a ton of money and pay for them to continue working on game instead of jobs? Yeah didn't think so. Yes it bites that we don't have a deadline but this is unofficial, so just umn sit and WAIT!

Most of the Russian community is waiting for a wipe and the introduction of the 3-D models. And willing to wait long as necessary.
Short-term decline in activity at the Serer, interest in the game or to the development - a normal phenomenon, especially for projects that do not revolve a lot of money. Especially with a system wipe. When feeling close wipe discourages ready to play. Some are veterans of the second open test on the TLA and do not want extra time to spend time, if the result of the work (the game) turn into dust too fast.

Plenty of suggestions have been implemented. Other suggestions have been implemented and the server hasn't been updated.
There will be an update when its ready. We go as quickly as real life allows and no amount of moaning about it will change that.

i must tell that the devs do not gain money and they can't get money from the game by selling virtual shit(like in other games like Adventure Quest or Dead Frontier) because they do not have the rights to own the Critter.DAT and the Master.DAT

You dint say anything about desert combat. BECAUSE EVERYBODY RUNS LIKE AN IDIOT WHEN HE ENCOUNTERS SOMEONE. Thats the reason for dead pvp, all the players only think in fight when its sure to win, and run when minimum trouble, Hinkley stills alive because you dont lose anything fighting there. The pvp is dead because 95% of the players in Fonline2238 are pussy cowards. (and you are in the 5% of good pvps)

That's true. I think people (myself included) are just really excited by the upcoming wipe and have no way of expressing their excitement other than being perceived as whining.

It's just the first weeks from update are most crucial. If players find some massive loophole and abuse it without dev interference it can break the economy for the rest of the wipe.

Most of FOnline fans continue playing, as game is still fun regardless of wipe. I don't understand why people would quit until wipe. Game is suddenly no more fun, knowing there will be a wipe? There will probably eventually be another wipe after this upcoming wipe. So maybe you should just quit playing forever?

People are bored of this all, they have everything from iteams too shitlaod max lvl chars. Wipe give fresh breeze etc im too lazy to write something what was write thousand times

You are killing what you created, if you are breading please just do wipe and do what ever you want: children, holly days and other stuff; but don't kill this thing you have done. I love this game but the fun of it is - then there are other players than gangs and also it's boring when you have n characters of different types and you have f load of money and other stuff. So just wipe my fortune and let me enjoy the game with the rest 90% of the players of this game. We don't care when you will bring the update we all want wipe no mater how long it will take to update. By the way congrads with a doter Solar
