Title: Where is everybody?
Post by: ElMarsh on June 09, 2011, 05:22:05 am: Hey, I just got this game and it looks great and all, but where is everyone? I spawned in some cave, ran all the way to the Hub then to New Adytum.. Couldn't find a single soul. The forum looks pretty active so I presume that people still play this game? Where is everyone?

Post by: Gatling on June 09, 2011, 06:05:17 am: Use the population checker at the bottom of the main page of this forum. Late night(for me) tends to have a low population with it rising to 100+ as time goes towards morning and beyond.

You are new so heres a quick lesson: PKing(read: Death) is prevalent in unguarded towns and with the guarded towns spread out so far, NCR is a bit of a hub for social interaction. Go there, you Will see people eventually depending when you look. The crowd hangs at the front, where the bombers, thieves, and "Shitinmouth" people tend to hang and harass whoever they feel like.

And expect that anyone willing to 'follow' you to help you with something, is just looking to go to your tent and blow you away. BTW Welcome and if you need any help/hints or what not, pm me on forums.

Also, don't come too close to other people yourself, they mgiht think you want to steal from them or something. I've noticed many new people tend to stand right next to me while we talk, without leaving a single hex between us.

You will die a lot in this game, please don't ragequit for that. The game has this kind of initiation test, just be patient and you will realize it's not so hard to get by.

In my opinion, this is probably what an "actual" post-apocalyptic world would be like, brutish short and nasty :P ( none of that fallout 3 bull ). I just hope people keep playing! The idea is pretty novel and unique

troll and kill is a nice way of pass the time if you are alone in the game, also you can help little people or RP if you are a nice guy.
or try to get more xp (i want 1,000,000xp) or collect stuff put it in your personal base and look good, or be a wastelander periodist and take photos of funny things. there is a lot of potential in this game you only need to habe imagination.

PD: thanks to AFORCEFULTRUST for kill those idiots argentinian pks, they suck (in all aspects).

Nothing is safe from the wipe, everything will be gone.
