Title: [HELP] Depot base

We attempted to buy a base, but NPC wont react when I use say"%faction name%".
I attempted all names listed here and some random, still no effect.

All base names are taken , your only chance is to buy a base from a player.

Hes not alone, i met few new players in Junk Town. They are playing since a week or two and they had same problem.
Devs add some new names to list and update the server coz new players will leave the game b4 they start to have fun.

Its not a big problem, right now we have around 70k characters registered.

How the hell you managed to sell 1000 bases?
1. Newbies got enough money to buy a base, they buy it, realize the game is bad, ragequits and the faction name is still being used.
2. Most factions have more than 1 base - the original was in a bad place, so they bought a new one, the gang is expanding, and leaders don't want newcomers to go to the huge base so they buy another one for newbies etc. etc.

I was quite interested too, how there can be so many factions, and later it turned out my gang has 6 of them  :-\

Yes, but faction names get deleted after a while if base is not used, and they become available again. If list of available faction names isn't updated, then trying random names is the only way to guess which names became available recently due to faction inactivity  :-\

if we can only have more bases under same faction name, this will not be a problem
we need a new faction sistem

It should be enogh to add the option to buy more bases (aka OUTPOSTS) with a single faction name. No need for new system.

That must be solution of problem.
Also, it will be good to inform players IG about inactive factions (I means those who was deleted).
I thinking about adding to useless NPC lines such as "I remember those days when %namefaction% was not just empty sound".
Also "You heard about %factionname%? Some people started to call themselves in such way"

Good idea. Never thought 'bout it. And shouldnt be difficult to implement.

Btw a good thing would be if we would have a list of the used faction names too (the manual has some gang name that can be used but its way less then the actual ones that are used still I think it could worth a try to type some from there). Anyway the idea to have ingame information about the names that can be used is real good.

Good idea. Never thought 'bout it. And shouldnt be difficult to implement.
Maybe I am wrong and thinking about it to simple, but here is my thoughts.
1) Make list of faction names somehow conneted with game
2) If leader is not active -> check activity second in command or simple move leadership to him and check his activity later. This will make code little more simple, but more time will need to pass before faction deleted. Anyway, depends from time of checks.
3) If failed to find active members - move faction name to "deleted" setion
4) If name in "deleted" section then NPC starts to speak with lines as I provided before. As I understood - there is possible to add line for a group of NPC's.
5) If name was in "deleted" more than X time then move it to "availible"


Ot just simple make somewhere NPC to check for free names IG.
