If anyone has played fallout 3 or NV for pc and seen this mod. iTs amazing i think we should get like small encounters at bases every so often like a group of radscorpions or raiders stumble across ur base but dont loot it and the encounters dont stack like raiders are there then another group spawns

I suggested this several times in past, with several types including non-hostile ones.
-Too many people at a cave? Bam, raiders are all up in your face after seeing tons of people flocking to what amounts to a hole in a stone wall.
-Befriending Wilder/Nomads who will bring minor trade(herbs,jerky, etc.) or act as interference against invaders (though this was in conjunction with having your base visible if you are using what is supposed to be a minor area to house swarms of gear and people)
-Same nomads bringing in new brahmin or pelts, cutting down on the grind time in exchange for whatever.
Random ideas, old, but bases need More.
...Including mutant invasions.

That's precisely what they're thinking. Also, I wouldn't have them leaving loot or being of the normal variety. They are invading someplace afterall. Cloaked Nightkin, cloaked Nightkin everywhere!

well, some traders at least to come with some merchandice t oevery base, but only the leader can talk t othem

Hmm...Seems Like A Nice Idea :D . But What If The Enclave Came To Your Faction Base? Just Kidding XD. But Sometimes These Encounters Would Be Rather Annoying.

It would give some use for the mercenaries, which are staying at the base, so I'd say yes for such feature.

Well it would be fun to give a rep count toward the other faction and the invading forces are based upon that. For example members of faction X raid a lot of NCR caravan so NCR deploys an armed division to hunt down the base of faction X. Though even if its not connected to reps and others it would be still fun to see the base full with enemies and you have to take it over from them.

i was trying to mention nothin crazy like nightkin (just wow) i ment like just low hp/level things like spore plants grow in ur base or a scorpion infestation just to make base have more....action??

Hehe, Spore plants. Hells Weeds XD. I like the small encounters thing and the tradeings Ideas. Nightkin and super mutants.... Thats quite big xD

It could be 2 remnant of Master Army, for each mercenary or player that is here at the time.
Or no npc spawn, if there is too much mercenaries.
The other side of the picture, is for player that don't want to put heavy mercs beyond their doors...

It is quite big, but you'd be surprised all the junk that gangs cram into little bases. A hole in the wall. That just screams, "Rob me rob me!" to NPCs I would think for any old wilder(or Raider, or Patrol...) to wander up and help themselves.

you can make them just take the things on the ground and everything in containers will be safe. This will force people to want to have better base because of more containers in them. there is already a script for it so :).

...Imagine if those little thieves worked that loot back into the economy. Hah, imagine finding your bases loot on Enshin the next day.

Well there is one thing though, how will this affect cars located in bases? Will they be destroyed at 100% and you must repair? Will they disappear or be taken?

Actually, having your vehicles vandalized hadn't occurred to me. I like. This would be a good reason to putting keys in a locked locker, perhaps, heh. Finding that they are missing parts, too, afterward (Though I kinda would like to steal FCCs out of roaches or other such things anyway)

if we would have encounters tho it should be balanced so like 8 deathclaw vs a guy and his private base it should be based on the members (someone come up with a formula)
not to go off topic but that would be nice and if they was caught vandalizing they were unprotected(protected towns)

I hope that this whole topic is just trolling otherwise its one of the most stupid idea I ever heard. And all Gatlings suggestions are madmans dreams focused on nerfing the game more and more.

I don't like it much either.
Big factions won't have much of a problem with this, the smaller ones will suffer.
Big factions don't have a problem getting back after being robbed, smaller ones do.
So NCR or nightkins occupying or robbing your base will be annoying to some and a big hit to others.
Also the idea that your base might get robbed or taken over means people will create storage alts, shared tents and use car trunks. They will log off on the world map with stuff in their inventory and car trunks.

It's a good idea. Right now bases/tents are safe havens where never anything happens and the chance to get raided only occurs if you're uncautious to let someone sneak in/follow you. It has only upsides and no downsides where you can accumulate your items and stuff without any risk, while NPC can get raided, looted, killed etc all day long.

people are to smart for some crappy disadvantages so the only result of such implementation gona be pain in the ass for all players, with more reloging. Game gona be nerfed more again fuckl yeah..... and if mercs not gona be deleted from game every1 just gona puts tons of it in base as a gurads and then ur whole feature is pointless and gona hit only noobs.

Have you read the changes to mercs/slaves etc? I doubt there will be huge armies guarding bases now that they will require upkeep.

As if tons of players aren't using alts either.
Also, nerfing? Ahem, the ideas are aimed at adding things, not totally trashing peoples bases. The 'thieving npc' is only a minor idea and part of the concept and not the whole pie. I want alot more to be able to happen there, including Wilder that bring you their 'junk' (not just the actual item), as well as traders that visit You. Quit harping on one little point, that was not the whole focus.
Yes, my ideas usually seem to be quite mad.
