So, my brother sometimes wants to play this game, so I let him use the crap computer on the other end of the house. Well, I am in an encounter and then he gets teleported to me and I am like wtf? I thought he was AFK and didn't think he could teleport, but come to find out some GM had poofed him there next to me. I told him I thought he was at the store, and he responded he just got back and got my smokes like I asked. Then the GM is trying to do some soft of test to verify he was there and I was and the freaking internet goes down in the middle of all of this. I go and reset the router and the modem and finally get back to where I can log back in to talk to him, and he freaking banned me and his account. My bro doesn't really care he barely plays and just helps me out with some resources from time to time, so he doesn't care, he doesn't really like the game anyways. I however am like 10k xp from lvl 21, and to get a ban just cause my ISP goes down is retarded. This game is doomed to never have any playerbase as it is. If you don't want my brother to play at the same time I am that is FINE, just say so, don't ban me for 6666 hours for no reason.
Secondly, if the claims of having two computers on the same network is such a bannable offense, can someone show me WHERE it says this? I never clicked a button displaying the terms and conditions to this game, and was searching everywhere a few weeks ago to make sure that there wouldn't be a problem. The forums doesn't have a specific area saying READ THIS, had it of done that, I wouldn't have even had my brother play with me from time to time just so there wasn't some kinda bannable rule being trampled on here. All I ask is to have this ban removed so I can play, I don't have intentions of further introducing the game to my brother so this won't occur again.
**** EDIT wow after looking futher, news and announcements has something about it .. but that is something for NEW information and such, can't believe I didn' think to go look in there. , just wish there was something in game POINTING to this since 6666 hours is QUITE a ban. I asked various players in game and no one seemed to know it was an issue either.

just ask for the test again, and read my (actual) signature
-
That sig would have been handy if I could have found it prior, but not knowing to be looking for your name and sig made it difficult to do.
My brother has already gone home, so i don't know when he might randomly pop in again. Can't you just delete his account or ban his account and let me go on
with my life? It maybe next week before he gets a chance to come back over here just to do a dual test or what ever you want. Look, I obviously didn't know it was going
to cause a problem, and if the dualness is the issue, remove the character and that pc will never play this game again. Granted I parked my car at his tent but what ever, there are new players in my faction that are needing guidance to keep playing the game, and me disappearing without any way to notify them isn't going to help I am sure.

maybe gm trolled you :/
-
I hear of GM trolling in other posts as well. I am sure this one might have meant well, but its just my luck that I would get banned for some bs like this. Makes me wish I was actually doing something more severe, I mean 6666 hours? 400,000 minutes... yeah .. that is like a ban for my trying to hack into the admin account, not a first time warning for having a friend/relative over to try to have fun together.
I mean seriously? ???
-
it happens even to the best man
-
I suppose, but don't they want players on their server? Or at least ban me for two or three days .. a week perhaps .. 6666 hours its pretty evil.
If I don't find a resolve for this in the next day or so, I am sure this game will be forgotten about, as well as the youtube videos I had planned to make.
I have hundreds of thousands of views on my youtube account, so would give the game a bump. But oh well.

You were unbanned. Next time use forum pm to contact GM.
You shall be cheked later.
-
i think that you should write directly to the gm that banned you :)
-
and to get a ban just cause my ISP goes down is retarded.
Something like that had recently happened to me too except I was in encounter. What's your ISP btw?
-
Thanks you and I will contact gm directly next time, but there won't be a need for a next time :)

this is not Blizzard Entertainment and you are not playing World of Warcraft. If you think that the people who bring you this game need to adhere to a user end license agreement (UELA) or any other lawyer ball bullshit, you're greatly mistaken. It's probably not legal for this game to exist in the first place, let alone giving proper rights to it's players.
If you do something unethical (like playing 2 characters at once), you'll get probably banned. If you do something stupid like piss of a GM/Dev, you'll probably get banned. It's all pretty logical.
also, instead of whining on the forums like you are losing out on a game that you're paying for, how about joining the IRC community? irc.forestnet.org / channel #2238

It's totally legal, as explained in many other threads. Short version: Technically, this is simply a mod to Fallout 2, which is 100% legal.

Why almost every ban thread starts with... my BROTHER? ;D
-
Damm Brothers... :D
-
soon will start with ''my sister'' ;D ;D
-
Stop to start thread about " OMG WHY IM BANNED?? :'("
Contact GMs or Devs.
This does not need to be public and not be open to the public, this concerns only YOU (for all)
-
Issue resolved, locking thread, thank you.
Also remember: game is not democracy. Arbitrary actions can and will happen. You may ask the particular GM about the issue or use the overseer email thing, which is listed elsewhere someplace. (I never bothered to memorize what it is)
