So I just moved to a new apartment, I've been able to create my own channel in forestnet but not join #2238, they say there are server issues.

So what does (+b) mean? Banned? Or have the forestnet issues messed with the forestnet client?

Strangely, this happened to me too..
Started yesterday, i am unable to connect to #2238 as i am 'Banned' (+b).
Perhaps they're just sick of me.

Well forestnet does say it's having issues, but in the event that I actually did get banned, can I ask how or why?

I have the same problem, but only with the ForestNet Official WebChat (http://chat.forestnet.org/?channels=2238).
The problem is that the Client cannot connect to normal-used channels based on a registration or some new changes.
The irc2go (http://en.irc2go.com/webchat/?net=ForestNet&room=%232238) client does not have this Problem.



Edit:
And No, I do not know about the Downloadable Clients, they never worked for me.

If you are using mibbit, you can't access some of the official 2238-related channels (#2238 and #2238wiki for example).

This is with the official forestnet client, which appears to be blocked.

Yes, looks like The official Forestnet webchat (http://chat.forestnet.org/?channels=2238) address was banned somehow (*!~webchat@*.asintetic.com). It's fixed now, unban was done. Should be working now again.
