I made a joke character with Jinxed and after dozens of encounters with large numbers of NPCs, I have not seen any critical failures, guns exploding, etc.
Was jinxed nerfed for NPCs to prevent farming "VS" encounters?
Even though my character is a joke character, it will still be perfectly viable with Jinxed being nerfed- I just wanted to know if it was diabled vs NPCs.
Good thing I didn't make a sneak-jinxer as a serious character.

Usually it does, sometimes coming out in insanely funny coincidences. Maybe just real life bad-luck?

AFAIK jinxed only work on the char with jinxed and chars targetting jinxed char.
Also, 10 luck cancels jinxed.

Aww, so no hanging out in encs and watching the show?

What? Who said that to you? LK has nothing with Jinxed.
Usually, when you miss, you have % that miss will be critical.
Jinxed doesn't affect this %, it'll not be more or less, with Jinxed trait there's another roll, you and everyone who atacking you has 50% that miss will be critical. If you failed 1d100 roll by rolling 1-50 or 1-49 or whatever, may be even 1d2 roll with "1" as fail, it'll be critical miss, if not, then you're going to normal roll like if you(/your target) have no Jinxed (so it still can be critical miss if you fail default roll). So it doesn't matter if you have 1 LK or 10 LK, Jinxed will work similar for both 1 and 10 LK builds.
Jinxed good for those who bursting in point blank (they usually don't miss even with 95%), thieves (they usually running away), looters (they simply loot and running away), tanks (they are more being hit than hit themselves).

Jinxed does work with Luck, considering if you have average or high Luck, you cannot critically miss and cripple yourself, but if you have low luck, then crippling yourself is possible.
@ topic: My unarmed jinx player works fine in making most critters critically miss. Not sure about NPC humans though. I don't see why it wouldn't.

It's not Jinxed itself, its what it causes ;)
LK affects Critical miss, not Jinxed 50% roll which is always 50%.

well, i did!
jinxed sneaker is my main character. that's alot of fun if you don't really mind have your newly crafted weapon destroyed after the very first shot :) but with the plenty of weapon skill and low deterioration my most common is "lost the rest of the ammo" (that's bad for the AR with extended clip). NPC miss critically much less.
but sometimes (and much often than in my regular fallout 2 single-player game w/o jinxed perk) they miss, and they miss bad. like "lost the rest of the ammo and have the weapon dropped and hurt himself and crippled random limb and knocked down and lost his next turn". that's outstanding and covers all my losses from this perk. sorry for me engrish, not a native language
also, i think as i get armor and therefore more AC (never tried the armor before lol), npcs will miss more often and therefore there will be more critical misses from their side and less from mine as my weapon skill raises

This is funny thread. Jinxed is a great trait, and I've used it quite successfully on an hth to farm pve. Was fun, too. Luck effects jinxed, I'll say that.

That sounds like fun.
I was just hoping that Jinxed would make a "field" that would Jinx everyone in the field.
Imagine hiding in a building during TC/PvP and messing up everybody.

i think that would be too much fun of this game :D
now with 133% of attack i did around 100 single shots and 20 bursts (still need to carry a sidearm in case of destroying self weapon) and had just one critical miss (lost ammo) and my meelee npc opponents hurt self around 10 times.
still wounder what it be like wearing ca2 ;)
