No this is not about the gambling skill, i hope it would be but maybe someone else can think something out and tweak it if possible.
Basic idea: Change item "Dice" if used it shows a random number over the players head. not the emote coloring please, as it could be faked.
Dices could be found at many places: traders in redding or new reno. Gangster encounter or other "thug" NPCs.
Possible ideas evolve out of this:
- Player gambling! You can meet in the backstreets with a few buddies and gamble for a few caps or something else.
- Player casinos! You can run a casino in a town like redding or for the bad ass gangs: new reno!
- Security needs! You have to secure your casino or it will be raided! Brings new gaming possibilities for guards, casino managers and raiders.
Many other things could be done like this, like a roulette item. I basically only bring this suggestion for showing the possibility of a real random dice. What players do is their choice. Shoot the Winner and get shot by guards? Maybe you gamble in a sideway and can get off with the bet? Be a gentleman and good loser? Your call!
Example for games:
All players have a dice. Highest number wins the pot all players bet before throwing their dices.
All players bet on 1 number. One throws dice. Player who bet the number right wins the pot.
