http://fo2077.blogspot.com/ - Check it out, guyz ! It's a Roleplaying server with greatly enhanced character building system and many, many more like :
- a working anti-alt system which was specifically designed to operate with our new and improved character mechanics; only 1 character per player is allowed!
- characters can advance to level 30 and can be tailored to suit your particular needs; now you can choose whether you want to be a mechanic, a scientist or a soldier
- no "jack of all trades" characters to increase realism and force player interaction
- a new and enhanced crafting system based on resource mining and inteligent use of time sinks to prevent flooding the wastes with hi-tech items
- an improved banking system accounting for things like inflation, deflation and stock exchange mood shifts
- over 80 new and exciting perks
- the ability to join both the Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave and wield high tech weaponry in our redesigned PvP battlespace, including Powered Armors, Nuclear Grenades, Gauss Support Weapons and more
- a dynamic quest system assigning demanding tasks to player factions on a weekly basis
- an entirely new food mechanic, including starvation, dehydration and food poisoning
... and more!
Of course that doesn't mean we aren't going to add any features in future - expect at least monthly updates based on your feedback on our suggestion forums. We hope you're going to enjoy playing on our server as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Why it should be a joke? I've participated in CBT of that server and it was quite entertaining.

I know that the server is real. But I am not sure that the OBT starts today (according to that news it should be possible to register for 9 hours already)

Well, in 2077 there is also no Brotherhood of Steel and no Hub and no Shady Sands and so on and so on. 2077 is the year in which the war happened and everything got destroyed.

In this mods Shady Sands are from what I know :P And 2077 as I know is also just name, action will be in another years.

Poject 2077 looks very interesting but im worried about RP ruleset stuff. I know lots of advanced RP private game servers which have so much complex rulesets making it barely enjoyable to play on. And the fact that everyone will have to write down an epic story form registration background stuff for character makes me think it will be hard RP server with such a ruleset. Wasteland where everyone have to do some RP stuff before shooting (thats right, you have to find a good reason to open fire at someone) just feels...weird ^^

Well, we had a reload hotkey and stuff planned as well, but it couldn't be done yet because of whatever reason that scripters know.

As far I know, 2238 is not open source, so 2077 can't "steal" from 2238 scripts. Where can I download 2238 radio, awareness, gm panel, bases etc?
Or maybe, you have leak and the 2077 team has your scripts. And if they have your scripts, maybe you share them to others? Make 2238 open source, lets everyone can use yours scripts, not only 2077 team!

I think you misunderstand, I refer to the SDK itself - not any other server.
If people from other servers actually start making things that are useful for us here, then its all good.

Ah ok. Certainly works on 2238, have a positive impact on the development sdk. I saw nicknames people from 2238 team in many scripts files.

Yes, but hotkeys are something I will otherwise have to pester our poor scripters for - if they are done elsewhere it saves the job ;)
Shame the hoax was a hoax, might have had some other perks to steal too.

Let's hope this does go some way to encouraging cooperation between the mods, I don't think stuff like hotkeys are going to adversely effect any server's population.

Come on, dude, I can write that quest script for you in no time, but why do you want to give people "the taste of 2238 copy" ? The name is already more than enough..
