Title: A Sound for reloading melee weapons.

Can we get a sound effect for unloading/reloading these things?  I was thinking something along the lines of what reloading a guass weapon sounds like, or keeping it around it's tech level and make it sound like reloading a simple laser pistol.

I want to avoid reusing of already existing sounds.. If you find some appropriate soundeffect on the internet, royality free, then we can include it.

Hmm.. but i think ripper should have same reloading sound than laser pistol, because both are energy based weapons and both use same ammo.

A ripper is not the same as a laser pistol. Or do you seriously prefer sfx overdoing again and again?

Damn, didn't find any website allowing me to upload that sound file so that it can be heard without download.

Anyway, I quickly made this:

It's edited and modified version of a free-licensed sound file, so I guess I'm its author now :P

There should be a sound. It can be the reloading sound for a Needler pistol, as another sound already in-game.

Repetition of the sound doesn't really bother me, I just want to hear the satisfying sound that it has reloaded so I can quickly attack with it again.

A sound is much easier to "see" than having to see that my APs went down, to know that I can start using the reloaded weapon again.

It's too loud/noisy and rather fits to a big gun being reloaded, not a melee weapon. :/

Too loud? It can be changed easily.

The difficulty of this is that I don't really know what "reloading a melee weapon" means. Most of the time in FOnline it's about ejecting an empty battery and replacing it by a new one. I thought that sound fitted this action :)

Sounds nice, but melee weapons are based on energy, that doesn't sound like "electrical" reloading at all, more like some old mechanical part. I think it should be more like energy guns reloading, especially powerfists.
