There's a lot of crap they'll have to shovel...

Seriously, this is non-plussed minimization.
"Hey, it farted and has tummy aches, big deal, lol. Chernobyl kid even had a diarrhea in class room, back then, what was kinda hilarious, too."

But then again, how would you explain it to a kid, that nuklear boy has its intestines melted, is dying and his decaying, rotting corpse will kill a lot of people and make half of Japan uninhabitable for the next 10.000 years and there's own leader's fault?

It won't be CUTE.

Pawns, can you elaborate your statement, please?
Is this just an affection because "oh Japan is so cool and they have cartoons where everyone has glaucoma" or you are involving many more factors?

No, there are empty comments, contributing nothing, but they count as post. Sometimes, it annoys people, because they think it was made by stupid person, then, it's considered successful, since it drew attention. Also, durr.

More serious thoughts: how did this disaster impacted on the society? It lasts already for a month and it's not so often in news anymore... Does it make less scarier for you?

Hey, great "cartoon", I find it very appropriate to use that form to explain it to younger audience.
