Great idea, also this graphic looks great :)

I like the idea of having choice, which it seems to give you SOMETIMES, but not all of the time.
You are attacked by raiders
Choose:
-Turn based
-Real time
-
Currently it gives you choice when you are not "ambushed" by the encounter mobs. If you are, the default is used, which is set up in config (it's very annoying to switch when you travel, and easy to forget what you have enabled if you switch it often - I think everyone who plays knows that). I think this is the most annoying "feature" that wasn't improved over last 2 years.

:o i love it i hate having to log out to change the way am fighting ....... your a hero. (gives medal) :D

when you select on that menu circle and click on options it says its not implemented yet, so i wonder if it will be implemented wont your current suggestion become useless then ?:>

Even if options will be implemented, I still would prefer to be able switch it easily in world map interface (also it gives you clear info what's current mode).

Aha, that picture gave me a laugh, nicely done. I like it, but would this not require some kind of engine change? Meaning that it's not likely to get changed?
-
Well, there already is option which mode will you use in encouter, but you need to have high outdoorsman skill becouse only if it is successful you get the option(TB/RT/Cancel).

False, you still have choice when you have selected a mode. The mode selected in FOconfig apply only when you don't have the choice to encounter. And well... Even with 300% OD you still can encounter things without choice.
-
True, even if this option would be by default, there are still encouters like caves etc. where the tab wouldnt pop up, then this suggestion is valid and i support it.
-
I think that, since they have an "Options" menu in the game (by pressing Esc on keyboard), they already do plan to make FOConfig.exe be part of the game... eventually.

That's because you succeeded in the Outdoorsman check. If all encounters had that there would be no use for Outdoorsman.

Like I said, even if there would be "Options" page (which honestly I don't believe will happen, ever) I still see a place for this switch on WM interface, because it would be very convenient to have it there and it would show important info during travel. Closing game to change this setting over and over is extremely annoying and implementig one switch should be much easier than implementing whole options page.
-
Kind of a nice idea, but I don't think many people switch back and forth between RT and TB. I started at TB, switch to RT, and never switched back, except for a OD checked encounter once in a blue moon, for nostalgic reasons.
-
Very good! I always hated to exit the game and set to TB when I'm hunting, and when I'm done with hunting I have to exit the game again and set to RT so I can quickly return to base/tent. Good, good, good, good, must add this! It's a must devs, you hear me?
-
Missing "Both" :<
EDIT: to explain - with 'both' combat mode, you're using RT mode for yours encounters, but you can also enter TB encounters of other players.
-
Added as command for now; about adding elements to interface, it will be done in little different way, and need to wait a little.
(...) if there would be "Options" page (which honestly I don't believe will happen, ever) (...)
Never say never ;)

Made a more verbose graphic to fit with above post. However, as aformentionend by Wipe, it will take a little while. People can edit it on their own later though.

Thank you :)

If encounter would be forced then option for...
Turn Based
Real Time
Cancel (missing broken button here like in PIP boy)
...would be great!
